Stay in an art gallery! Great Location

The host is super friendly& attentive. The location is fantastic (though "right on the canal" is a stretch - it's 2 blocks away). The bed is very comfortable & there are blackout blinds in the bedroom windows. Free coffee and a for purchase bar were nice perks. The bathroom is tight but functional & well maintained. Of course, best of all you are basically staying in an artist's gallery/ studio so the decor & lighting are a total vibe (if the arts are your thing this place is for you). That said the cleaning service could use an upgrade - the interior of the fridge was dirty, all the commonly used surfaces / appliances were pretty dusty, the shower caddy was a little grimey etc. There was a random open beer can with liquid in it, in the cupboard (not the fridge - the cabinet with the glassware) which I had to take upon myself to throw out. I could only find one mug clean enough I'd use it the first morning & had to run a load through the dishwasher to clean them all. There are also some basic repairs / upgrades needed - don't try & use the door handles to the bed / bath rooms they will come off from a basic turn / tug; the interior of the dishwasher is very rusty / disintegrating & it should probably replaced; one of the bedroom blinds doesn't stay closed & there's a little twine loop to keep it down that's really a temporary fix. All in all I liked staying here, which is why it's 4 stars. Any complaints are minor / superficial & outweighed overall by how great the place is!

Great location for city adventures

Owner is an excellent host. The property is near a scenic canal and within easy walking distance to the metro, Nyhavn (with many great restaurants and shops), and the Christiania area. The owner is a working artist and the property reflects his unique style. Potential renters should note that the property is on the fifth floor and there is no elevator.

Good way to be close to attractions with still getting a local feel

The location was close to so many things like restaurants and tourist sites, yet the location was quiet and you felt like part of the neighborhood. Ulrik was very responsive anytime we had a question. We were really pleased with our stay and would visit again.

It was our second time at Ulrik's. He is a wonderful host and, once again, we felt at home, like we were visiting an old friend's home. Ulrik's place is very comfortable and cozy. It is also centric. The metro station is just a few minutes away. If you like walking, you do not really need public transportation and you will be able to enjoy the beautiful city. My wife and I will be coming back.

Hidden gem near Nyhavn

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Ulrik’s apartment! We enjoyed having access to the kitchen and washing machine. The apartment is just a 10 minute walk from Nyhavn and there is a nearby bus that takes you to many locations of interest around the city. We also enjoyed breakfast at the Parterre café on the corner. The 6 flights of stairs were no joke, but we were aware of what we were getting ourselves into! We would definitely rent this place again if we return to København.

Nice stay in Copenhagen

My husband and I enjoyed the property. The neighborhood was nice. And it was easy to get to and from. We found the food in Christiana to be some of our favorite. There are many stairs so pack accordingly. The bed was small so prepare to cuddle. Over all a really pleasant stay.

Cute apt in quiet residential area near christiania

Cute apt for one or two near Christian’s. Short walk to canals, Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv square. and subways. Easy bus ride to train station. Apt was warm and dry in cold winter weather small, but had everything we needed. TV, internet, kitchen, etc. 😊

Convenient location, disappointing otherwise

Location in Newtown Christiania is walking distance (20-25min) from main touristy spots and some nice coffee shops nearby. Flat itself was clean but shabby. Main problem was bathroom because shower water did not drain (due to the design of the bathroom) and caused severe flooding of the whole bathroom each time and unhygienic. Told host on first day that this was a problem and received no help other than telling us to use the shower curtain which we were already doing. Be aware this flat is the top floor of an apartment and there a A LOT of stairs to climb and no lifts.

Absolute great cozy apartment!

We loved Ulriks place. It was so close to all major tourist locations and was only 7 metro-stops away from CPH airport, took about 15 minutes. I stayed with my teenage daughter who really loved all the art on the walls. Handy small shops right on the corner. Will definitely return whenever we visit CPH again!

Amazing stay!

This was the first leg of our trip and we could not have been more pleased! We LOVED all of the art and uniqueness of the property. The location was top notch- quick walk to Nyhavn and the metro. Cant recommend this place enough :)

Cute Apartment

We had a great stay. Property was very clean and Ulrik’s instructions and expectations were very clear. It was also very easy to get to most of the tourist places from there. We stayed at the end of August, and it was quite warm. There were no fans or anything, so we had to sleep with the windows cracked open. This wouldn’t have been a problem except that most nights there was quite a bit of noise on the street below.

I found this property to be as advertised. It is cozy and clean. The location is excellent. It's in a great neighborhood and very close to public transportation. If you want to feel like a local while vacationing in Copenhagen, you can't go wrong here.

The perfect Copenhagen flat

Absolutely flawless. Ulrik was so responsive and helpful during check-in and check-out, and provided me with the best experience for my stay in Copenhagen. The flat is gorgeous (the pictures are accurate!) with plenty of natural light, beautiful art, and the best accommodations (dishwasher, washer machine, portable speaker, television, nespresso machine, the list goes on!). The location cannot be beat, minutes walk to Freetown, restaurants along the water, and the pedestrian bridge to Nyhavn. Shopping, dining, and museums all within a stone’s reach. This is where I hope to return again for my next stay in Copenhagen! Thank you so much.

Eager to come back

Great location with cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores at a walking distance, and also centrally located and near the best attractions in Copenhagen. It was easy to communicate with the property manager who replied to our messages within minutes. The property has a great distribution and is very well cared and maintained. Excellent location, well equipped. Lots of stairs, but also a bit of a view.
