Lovely hotel about 20 mins walk to the city (downhill on the way in with a lovely hill to look forward to on the way back!) View from the bar of the city below is fabulous, especially at night. Good gym and swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful!

Beautiful hotel and very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely pool also. Room was quite dark even with all the lights on. This is the only criticism.

beautiful setting

Pros: the view
Cons: the price
Location: close to city centre
friends were with us but not staying over night,but then decided to stay at 11.30pm went up to reception to find out how much for a room for 2 would be to be told hotel wasn't full loads of rooms available price was over 170 euro bad business.they decided to go home.

Lovely hotel , short walk to town

Only problem would be that parking terrible, v few spaces. Bar and restaurant combined so meal prices quite expensive but food absolutely fabulous

Family holiday

Stayed here in July on family holiday for 5 nights hotel is fab newly refurbished beautiful heated out door area over looking cork city down side no kids club or nightly entertainment and pool not geared towards kids no shallow end . Great breakfast everything you could think of to eat and the staff are so nice and friendly

Nice but needs creases ironed out

Nice hotel but we had to get our room moved due to no running water. Lady's at reception were very helpful rooms were on the small side for a family of 4.restaurant food was over priced

Montenotte

The Hotel Montenotte is quite a nice hotel, well laid out, well maintained and well serviced. The room were we stayed was ample enough and pretty clean. However, the views could have been better, just looking at the back of the hotel. The window does not open fully, only 1/4. The bar is nice and the restaurant offers nice food. In general quite happy with the stay, however the location is not great as it is not walking distance to the city centre.
