Firstly, credit where credit is due, the property is very clean and the staff is constantly cleaning all areas of the resort. The restaurant staff members are all very pleasant but some of the premium bartenders and desk staff are mediocre at best. Unless you book a suite, the rooms are very small. Barely enough room to turn around in the bathroom. Plumbing issues in at least the 64 building, perhaps in others as well, causing disgusting sewer water backup into the shower and all over the bathroom floor. We reported this more than once and front desk sta were indifferent, no apology, no reimbursement of any kind. The buffet food is ok, pretty much what you'd expect at an all inclusive. You'll always find something palatable. The specialty hibachi restaurant is really good and entertaining. If you book premium level, you can get cooked to order omelets in the morning as well as a small selection of other breakfast foods in the Santa Rosa restaurant and eat breakfast near the pool/beach rather than at the main buffet. The beach is wonderful and the water is gorgeous but evidently there have been issues with crocodiles, yes CROCODILES in the swimming area. There was also a warning sign put up for jellyfish on our last day there, I'm not sure if that's a long term thing. There's really nothing the resort staff can do about either of those issues but it's definitely concerning. I traveled here with my family in 2024 as well and several of us had money stolen OUT OF THE ROOM SAFE!
