Paid for breakfasts on arrival and then harassed by staff every morning as the hotel computer had not been updated. Left a poor image unlikely to use again

Don't be fooled
Pros:Location is good. Reception friendly.
Cons:The hotel should put its customers first.
The fitness suite is not part of the hotel but next door. It is not exclusive to guests and is more geared towards local custom. I booked this hotel so that I could go for a swim in the evening with my son but we were refused entry as they run a timetable for the swimming pool.
The rooms are old and whilst updated to some degree, they are not anything special.
Cleanliness on first looks was ok. On closer inspection there were cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings, mould in the bathroom and then I woke up covered in bites on my beck.

Nice but not cheap
Pros:The entrance to the hotel, reception and bar area was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy but nothing special.
Cons:The room for one night was expensive as it did not include breakfast and the rip off parking charge to leave the hotel when checking out. I spoke to other members of my party and they all said that this charge isn't made clear when booking, plus the receptionist forgot to give me the ticket that you have to insert into the barrier to get out of the car park.
Location:Was only staying one night as we had a function at their sister hotel down the road, which was fully booked.

Overnight stay standard room
Lovely room with wooden beams. Very cosy. Got a deal for 45.. Prices are normally 70 ish which I think too much. But I would stay a lot more offen if they had an offer on around £40-£50 a time. Would recommend.

A nice surprise
Apart from the excellent hotel and its amenities the best part of out stay here was Marina at reception. She was friendly, warm and welcoming and the perfect addition. This place is good value.
