The bed was so comfortable we had the best nights sleep for a long time. The hotel and grounds were excellent. Very dog friendly. Will definitely be using them again.

Excellent last minute booking!!
Booked here last minute as a treat & recuperate from a post operation, we didn’t get to use the spa for that very reason. The grounds are lovely and well kept and the views go on for miles. All staff were lovely and friendly and always busy. Check in/checkout was straight forward all details given. Room was lovely and clean and all was full filled in what was needed. Lots to choose from at the bar, we did book in to the restaurant for tea but cancelled as it was quite limited and expensive so went to the Vicarage 5 mins down the road (lovely place)! Breakfast was in with our room and this was faultless so much to choose from from continental to a full cooked breakfast lots to choose from in drinks also. The iced peach tea is a favourite 😊 staff were on hand if needed and they were also busy clearing tables as they became free. Will return when we get chance and the spa will definitely be on our list.

Excellent for dog and close to Chester. Good stop in easy reach of M6 north or south. Dogs allowed in the bar but not in the restaurant. Bar not laid up for breakfast on Sunday but was on Monday morning.

Unfortunately we chose to stay when there was a wedding and other venues on so the bar was packed and noisy and the restaurant was closed. It was luckily we were meeting family and had a meal booked at another location.
