Wonderful Hotel, Center of Historic Area
A truly wonderful place to stay in Cusco near the center of the historic area! The hotel genuinely cares about its guest, and the breakfast was a delight. We had a 3:50 AM pickup for our trip to Machu Picchu, so the hotel provided a bagged breakfast to go, which sustained us the rest of the day. Couldn't have been happier!

Father and son are six months into their ownership of the hotel. The rooms are brand new and fitted our with deluxe king sized beds. Breakfasr made to order and is delicious. Johann and Jorge go out of their way to welcome and serve their guests and I think they have plans to expand the hotel. Right now there is inadequate lobby and dining space and no where to hang out. The courtyard in front of the hotel secures the property and ensures very quiet conditions but is shared with multiple businesses and is not an amenity space for the hotel. It could be improved upon however which would help. I am adding this detail because I don't think sites like Expedia properly describe properties and I wish the best for Johann and Jorge and look for to them improving on the great work they have already done to develop the property. It needs a lobby, a larger dining room and some outdoor space to gather and relax. serve their guests. I think tt

We loved our stay at Casa Cruz Verde. The property is family owned and managed by Jose and his family. We were treated like family during our stay and they were very service oriented. Jose and Johan (son) were helpful with all aspects and truly made a difference during our stay. The welcome with cocoa tea as we arrived on a rainy day was so refreshing. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. The property is very conveniently located with access to the old town central plazas were all tours start, within walking distance to several restaurants with vegan and vegetarian option. We left early (5:30) for a tour and Jose had packed us to-go breakfast customized to our dietary requirements. We also had breakfast onsite on Christmas Day served by Jose and his wife. The combination of custom menu and the friendly service was awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Cruz Verde and Cusco. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Jose & Johan.

Fantastic family-owned hotel! The family goes above and beyond in service, and the hotel is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need! We even had fresh flowers in our room! I was very impressed with this hotel and highly recommend it!

Absolutely fantastic accommodations! This hotel is run by a family who go above and beyond to make sure everything is comfortable and wonderful! From delicious breakfast, which can come in bags if you have early morning tours – to storing our luggage when we did the Inca trek, to staying up late for check-in, to providing all necessities – including shoe shining equipment, toiletries, hot shower, tv, etc. - the service goes above and beyond. This place is incredible! You will definitely not regret booking here!

This is an absolute must if you are in cusco. I promise you will not be dissapointed. From the amazing safe location, to the most delicious very filling breakfast, to the incredible owners!!! This is easy a 10 stars out of 5. The place is super cute, the room was very spacious and had top of the line amenities.

Look no further, this is the perfect place to stay for your Cusco trip! Location: perfectly located walking distance to Cusco’s downtown but also close to the San Pedro train Station (where we took our train to Machu Picchu) Johan and his father are wonderful, caring, and lovely hosts. They go out of their ways to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed during our trip. Room: we had a room that fitted a king-size bed and had all the amenities to make our stay very comfortable, including in-room coffee (which we needed for the early morning activities), a large shower with very hot water, and storage. For an old house, our room was huge and more importantly, very quiet! We could not hear the noise from the street and were able to have serene nights. Lastly, the breakfasts we had each day (including the boxed, to-go ones we had for the super early mornings) were FANTASTIC.

Pros: very clean room and bathroom; comfortable bed; lots of shelves for your things; extra towels, hair dryer, shoe cleaning brush; electric heater in the room; gorgeous view from the rooftop (3rd floor). Cons: tiny room, almost no space to walk around the bed (better for 1 person); residue inside the teapot from prior guests boiling water, had to thoroughly wash it myself; the balcony's position made it unusable (no privacy) and no other windows otherwise (we were on the 2nd floor). The room across seemed better in both size and balcony position (larger and not right under the staircase to the 3rd floor), so not all rooms are the same.

Our stay at Casa Cruz Verde was amazing! It’s a small hotel run by father and son. We arrived early morning and they managed to check in us as early as possible. I didn’t feel well and asked if they have a lemon, they didn’t have it but went to store and bought it for me. The room is renovated, clean, quiet and has everything you need: hot water, heater, set of warm blankets etc. They offer fresh homemade breakfast beautifully served. The stay exceeded all expectations and I couldn’t wish more. Thank you Jose and Johan for being welcoming to us.

Great stay!
I only stayed for one night, but I have no complaints at all. One of the family member will welcome you and explain how to use heater and TV, as well as light in bathroom that has a energy conservation setting which activates the light to turn on, as well as a setting for it to stay on permanently, they have hot water and bed is very comfy. Rooms have a small safety deposit box, you can also heat water in your room to have some tea and if you're going on an early morning tour before 7am they will kindly prepare a breakfast bag for you to take with you. The property is located about 3-4 blocks away from the main square and Ave. Del Sol.

The owners/staff were SO very helpful, willing to help us with everything. Room was large, updated and so clean! Really appreciated that as well as the wonderful breakfast. It is a bit tricky to find, one small sign on a door that leads into a courtyard.

Great location, only 5 minutes walking to Plaza de Armas or 2 minutes to the Mercardo Central. The hotel offers fantastic freshly made breakfast. In addition, this hotel is family owned and they are very welcoming and helpful, it felt like we were staying with family away from home.

What an amazing surprise this place was! Perfect location in the historic centre but tucked away in a quiet courtyard made for the ideal stay. The king bed and pillows were incredible, sheets were high quality, towels were plush, shower was amazing and the place was immaculately clean. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with many options. Staff were attentive and extremely polite. Would definitely book here again and would encourage others to do the same.
