Excellent location. Staff was friendly. The only negative was the breakfast was very limited.
I recommend that you take the suit as it is only $10 more. Lots of light with four windows that open on to the inner court yard of this historic complex of buildings. If you do this room is on the third floor. I’m headed 68 and had no problems.
Hotel in great location just off the main square in Cusco. Can be a bit noisy at night as there is often performers in the square. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was large, clean and comfortable for our 4 night stay.
Great room for a great price, they let me do a late check out for an added fee (stayed until 3pm which was great to catch my night flight home out of Lima). Basic breakfast, big rooms, and lots of natural light, it's literally next door to Starbucks and it's very quiet for being right on the square, the double bed would have likely fit my 6'5" husband should he have been traveling as well. Great deal for a great location.
If you want be near of the center of Cusco, go ahead! choose this hotel BUT this hotel is ugly, noisy and dirty, and the people there is very useless. They only accept debit card or cash... such a bad idea...
We absolutely love this hostel - it was right off the main square in Cusco so very convenient to most restaurants, stores, and local attractions! The room was cozy/comfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom was GREAT. The free wifi was a little spotty but worked for the most part. And the staff was welcoming and accommodating (except for help with fixing our broken heater). I'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at Casa De Selenque!
Wonderful stay at Casa De Selenque! It was a bit tricky to find at first but after you get there the location is perfect. You are 1 minute away from the main plaza but still off of it so as to keep way from the noise. Right behind Starbuck's for the coffee lovers and close to everything you need in Cusco. Definitely recommend the stay as our room was huge! Way bigger than expected. Go eat at Papacho & Chicha, it was amazing food. The staff we're all o extremely helpful, very friendly, and accommodating.
My room here was really big and nice for a relatively low cost. Only complaint was the shower wasnt all that hot. Staff was nice. Located right on the plaza de armas, couldn't be in a better spot for restaurants and night life.

Great Location for the price
Be careful when you book a room since most rooms seem to have windows that open into the hallways and are very small. We upgraded to the bigger room on the 3rd floor that had windows because we couldn't stand the other room. The extra money was worth it for us. Personnel was very accommodating - kept our luggage for 2 days while we went to Machu Picchu and gave us the same room when we returned. Location is great, right on the Plaza de Armas but difficult to find hotel when we got there in the early morning hours. Look for the big blue door around the corner from Starbucks.
The center of Cusco is Plaza de Armas and this little hostal (because it has 10 rooms and has to have 11 to be considered a hotel in Peru), is just ONE minute walk from the bedroom to the Plaza. The hostal is located in a courtyard and on the other side of the courtyard is the one and only Starbucks in Cusco (if you love Starbucks to start you day, this is heaven.) The place is clean, and quaint. Flat screen TVs in room. The place is quiet though if there was a party there, the rooms don't have much sound insulation. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great location
Steps off the Plaza de Armas. Clean basic accommodations. Very helpful staff. Starbucks next door, if you like that kind of thing. The floors in our room were very slippery, so be carful about rugs and stocking feet. The staff was very helpful and was willing to keep our luggage when we took our trip to Machu Picchu. We booked a night at the hotel for our return trip and our bags were waiting for us there.
