Center of our adventures
Tenderfoot Creek cabin is beautifully decorated, clean and so welcoming from the time you step on the porch. There was everything we needed and more with updated appliances and a new feel to the interior. It is located between Hill City and Custer city and right between the entrance to Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park on one side and Crazy Horse Memorial on the other, it could not have been more perfect to be centrally located to our adventures. It was easy to find. There are not many grocery stores/restaurants close, and we’re glad we stopped at the Walmart in Rapid City to load up. We would give this cabin more than 5 stars!

Great place to stay that was conveniently located to everything!
We loved our stay at this property. Cabin was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. We were within 15 minutes of everything we did in the Black Hills (Black Elk wilderness, Sylvan Lake, Mt Rushmore, Hill City ATV, etc). The property grounds were well maintained. You could here the road noise from the porch although you couldn't see the cars. Didn't bother us too much except peak traffic hours. Stars were amazing at night! We would stay here again next time we are in the area!

Clean, cozy and cute cabin
This cabin was perfect for a quick weekend in the hills with family. Quiet area and close to many attractions. The best pet was the front porch wear we enjoyed morning coffee.

Summer Vacation
Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and our stay. Our only complaints would be the traffic noise when sitting outside, but this was a minimal distraction. The larger complaint would be the amount of flies and moths that somehow were able to enter the cabin. One bedroom probably had 20-30 dead flies on the floor by the end of our stay. Moths were a lesser issue but I believe one of them crawled into the fire detector in the middle of the night and set it off, but I could be wrong about this and it went off for another unknown reason. Other than these issues, the cabin worked well for our family trip with 2 adults and 2 children.

Beautiful Cabin Minus the Sump Pump Noise
The cabin is beautiful. It is clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. We were very happy except for the non-stop noise when we got there. We thought it was the fridge and we drowned out the noise with drinks and the TV. The noise was gone and we went out the next day and came back and went to bed and was awoken by the noise that lasted all night. We did not sleep the entire night. Upon leaving we let management know that we left and let them know about the noise and was told that it was probably sump pump. Very disappointing. Cabin is wonderful if you don’t mind the nagging noise that sounds like what I would imagine a UFO sounds like.

Great house, but the proximity to the highway was disappointing
The house and property was great! The one thing that prevented me from giving it a 5 star was the proximity to the highway. It did not deter us from having a great time!

Beautiful location, peaceful, great rental!
LOCATION: Location was approx 1/2 way between Hill City and Custer (6-7 miles). Somewhat rural however we were there for solitude which is abundant. Some subtle highway noise during the day however not an issue for us. There are a couple other neighbors that share the same road that descends off the hwy to the residence. PROPERTY: The cabin is as nice inside as it is out. Very well maintained and clean. The online pics are the best resource to review and offer more than I can speak to. The propane fire and propane grill were very useful/enjoyable options. The cabin was well appointed from the kitchen to the bathroom. There is a small stream that flows around the property. From the other side of the creek a short walk up the hill yields the Mickelson Trail which from below is very well hidden. The TV offers YouTube TV (locals+networks), Netflix(your id), etc. SUMMARY: There are no downsides to this rental IMO. A great place to relax and feel at home.

Sweet Cabin!
The cabin was excellent! One of the best maintained rentals we have ever stayed in. Well stocked kitchen. Great location. Very quiet and dark at night. We spent most of the day visiting Custer, Rushmore, and all the sights and coming back to the cabin was a lovely retreat. Highly recommend.

We loved the cabin! It had everything you would need and more! We took our Christmas card photos on the MIckelson Trail Great for hiking! The only thing is that the picture makes it look more secluded and by itself and it has other property very close.

Convenient and well supplied
Perfect cabin for visiting the Black Hills. Convenient to Custer, Mount Rushmore, etc. Right off the highway. Well supplied ....even a pair of binoculars that came in handy. Requesting a CC deposit off site was a little odd.....otherwise, perfect.

Nice but Noisy
The cabin is close to a very busy 3 lane hi-way, which we knew when reserving the cabin, but had no idea how busy or how loud the truck/motorcycle traffic would be. Hard to carry on a conversation outdoors on the porch without shouting. Cabin floor is starting to show its age. Found animal crackers on the Bedroom floor. Lift pump ran every ~5 minutes all night long.

Amazing stay at the Tenderfoot Creek Cabin
What a beautiful, serene, and comfortable stay we had! The property far exceeded our expectations and the location was so convenient for day trips in the Black Hills. An added bonus was the easy access to the Mickelson Trail just yards from the cabin. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we really enjoyed the gas fire pit in the front yard. The property manager was super fast at returning texts and phone calls. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location. Super kitchen setup. - everything you need from a toaster to skewers for smores. Great amenities. Right off the highway, down the hill, perfect. Perfectly centered between Hill City and Custer. You can occasionally hear traffic but you don't see it! Super fire pit, nice patio set outside, and dining inside. I can't recommend this place enough. Hope to go back!

Stay at the cabin
The cabin is beautiful and is decorated very nicely. We were very comfortable during our stay. The location is great for seeing all the sites. The only negative is constant sound of the cars on the very near highway. We wanted to sit on the beautiful porch and listen to nature but we couldn't due to the constant traffic.
