The theme is an old French village, and the architecture reflects that. However, I wish the room had been bigger and cleaner. We can smell sewage every time we got back from our exploration which is a huge minus. The property itself is very pretty and huge. You'll need at least 2 days to fully explore. That said, it's up on the mountains, and the cable cars to get down stop operating around 4:30pm, I believe, which doesn't give you the option to leave for dinner elsewhere, and you're stuck with what they have to offer, which is a total of probably 3 restaurants that operate til 9pm since the rest of the place closes down at the same time the last cable car leaves. Food is alright, I'd say 6.5/10, and overpriced. Come for the architecture, not for the food

The A/C did not cool the room at all. 23.5 C all night was difficult to sleep. They provided a room that was accessible only by using stairs. This was not mentioned when we booked.

We are so glad we stayed up here to fully enjoy the grounds of the park when the majority of the tourists leave down the cable car for the day. It allowed us to explore and take the most amazing photos. Checkin however was fairly disorganized. The room was well appointed but definitely not sound proofed as we could hear the baby next door crying as if it was in our room. Since it was just one night it was something we could deal with. We booked the deluxe king and my parents booked a standard - spend the extra $30 and get the deluxe.

I enjoyed the beauty surrounding the property. It’s a majestic place with something new to see around every corner. My room itself was clean with modern conveniences however the humidity that collects inside kept everything damp. I had to keep the window open for hours at a time to dry out my bedding which isn’t the hotels fault made my time inside not as enjoyable. I’m sure that if visited during another season it probably wouldn’t have been an issue. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

Excellent stay, the room was clean comfortable with a nice bed and bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast had many options and was very tasty. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for early access to the Golden Bridge before the crowds start to arrive and also access to the other attractions during the evening.

My primary criticism was with the check-in process. Arrival at the base of resort, and initial check-in there was very efficient. No complaints there. The problem was when I arrived off the the tram. I had no clear idea of where to go to find the hotel main reception, though I had a a vague idea from google maps for the area. There is absolutely no signage at the exit of the tram. I stumbled upon an "entrance" that was marked as Mercure Hotel, so I entered. This was the second floor so I took the elevator to ground floor, hoping to find the reception. The elevator opened to a chaos of luggage and people sitting around, being serviced by one young lady at a a small desk. I figured this couldn't be the "main" reception area for the hotel (turns out it wasn't) but neverheless tried to check-in here. I eventually was able to check-in though my room was in their "main" building and was eventually escorted there by one of the "bellboys". So here's what I didn't know, and strong suggestions for the hotel to help out with customer check-in. One: it is not clear on your website or in any of your communications that the Mercure Hotel is actually several buildings, with names such as Hotel de Nice, Hotel de Marseille, Hotel de Paris (main), Hotel de Toulouse, and I might be missing one. Dear management, please provide a suitable map on your website identifying ALL your hotel buildings, and clear instructions as to where to go upon exiting the usual tram.

Honest Review of Mercure Hotel bana hills 👎 I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel Bana hills and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The check-in process was frustrating, as we were passed around between hotel staff with little guidance or assistance. This lack of direction continued when we were sent to the Sunworld cable car, where we were unexpectedly yelled at by a staff member (which I understand is not part of the hotel, but still left a negative impression). Once on the cable car, we were not provided with any instructions or follow-up, leaving us feeling uncertain and unprepared. Upon arrival in our room, I found it to be underwhelming. There was visible mold in the shower, which is a concerning cleanliness issue. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that basic amenities, like mineral water, are not provided as part of the stay and come at an additional charge. This seems like a standard offering in most hotels, so I found this policy frustrating. The rooms are also not soundproof, which made for a less restful stay, as outside noise was easily heard. As for the buffet breakfast, it lacked variety, and after five days, the offerings remained exactly the same each morning, which felt repetitive and unappetizing. Overall, this experience fell short of what I expected, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay. There were several areas, including service, cleanliness, and amenities, that need significant improvement.

The location drew us to the property, however check in and particularly check out process was dreadful. No clear communication from staff and everything had to be requested for twice before reception staff remembers to complete the task (locating my luggage, checking room for check out finalisation, and for support to travel down the mountain). Facilities were underwhelming and I get the impression that everything was treated as transactional and not a great customer experience was being prioritised by reception staff. I stood in front of 2 staff, both looked more senior than the others, behind the reception desk upon check out just to be ignored by both who looked like they were too busy in training to acknowledge me and offering support. My only praise is for the men helping with handling of baggages. They were all friendly and very helpful. Not an experience I was expecting from Mercure.

The receptionist at this hotel were all rude! They were understaffed and had huge lines! The rooms were okay but the information about the cable cars needs to be updated. You can still get to the hotel via a cable card after 5pm, you just need to walk more. Cable cars close sound 9 or 10 pm. Also it stated reception check in hours are until 5pm which is false.

Stayed here because we wanted to enjoy the theme park more. However it was raining heavily when we were there. Hence, we could not enjoy the rides and scenery much. Nevertheless, the staff is very helpful especially the bellboy. They helped us to carry the luggages under the heavy rain. Breakfast is good with many variety. The room is clean.

This place is a silly artificial theme park. Staying up here in the hotel is really not worth it in my opinion. The hills are beautiful and the ride up from the bottom was really the only redeeming part of the whole experience- seeing a waterfall and the wild nature. But then everything up top is a big overpriced mediocre excuse to spend money. There’s nothing to see, the bridge with hands is packed with people, blaring terrible music, I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you love paying for a completely manufactured experience and doing it with tons of people.
