Nice hotel, you would not know your in Vietnam.

Nice property across the street from the beach. Food was very good and room services also very good. The only thing is this could be a hotel anywhere in the world as it has no character.

Perfect hotel with a great ocean view

I did a lot of research on hotels on the beach front and this one came up on top. I wanted a beach front balcony with chairs, breakfast included, pool and onsite restaurant and bar. This hotel delivered on all accounts though sadly it was too cold and rainy during our stay to use the pool. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the best so far on our 6 week south east Asia trip. Sheets and towels were of good quality. We experienced no noise at all in the room other than the lapping of the waves on the beach. I’m a light sleeper and really appreciated how quiet the hotel was. Breakfast was great, cappuccino, fruit, egg station, cheeses, pastries and lots of Asian dishes as well. We arrived at different times and there was always seating available and food replenished for later seatings. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the door man was always there to meet us with an open umbrella when we stepped out of the taxi on rainy days. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and the food at their restaurant and bar was also very good.

The stay we've had has been top level (9 nights) From us arriving to the day we left the staff have been absolutely brilliant, very attentive and ultra friendly. we stayed in a junior suite city which was very clean and spacious with a great view over the city, the bathroom facilities were great with a powerful shower and a deep bath. The bed was perfect for me and the mrs (medium/firm). Breakfast provided more than enough options for even the pickiest of people, ranging from a hot to cold selection of traditional world breakfasts offerings and even included rices,noodles and curries, there was plenty of pastries and fruits on offer too, along with a great selection of hot and cold drinks, (the Vietnamese coffee was my favourite). Location wise it's near on perfect, literally a stones throw from the beach and just a short walk to the 24/7 shop and local restaurants and just a couple of thousand dong for a grab/taxi to the busier parts of danang. All in all this 5 star review I've written and those before mine all stand true, not a single regret from us at all and if we were to return to danang I certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

So I had a pretty bad experience here and didn’t get any sleep for 3 days due to constant issues with the air con units. They moved me three times. First because my room wasn’t ready when I arrived and asked me to wait 45 min after 22 hours of flying. So they moved me, then the new room had a bad smell to the air con and I ended up getting sick the next day. They moved me again and the third room apparently had a timer setting on the air con which the last tenant used but they never reset it so all I saw all night was the ac shutting off every hour and woke up sweating 3 times. Breakfast is not up to par with a 5 star hotel at all. It’s not great. The biggest issue is that the moment you have an issue the entire staff seems to get very uncomfortable in dealing with problems. Even small ones or compensating when there is an issue. My first week was totally thrown off due to a number of their problems. At least their sauna and spa was wonderful. Usually I don’t stay at 5 star hotels so this is all new for me but I was hoping for more. But they made my stay quite really exhausting and now I’m a week behind on sleep. I don’t care about upgrades or fancy rooms. Just clean beds that let me sleep. And if there’s an issue, an easy fix instead of thr entire staff getting stressed.

Property is nice but put of the whole staff only few speak good english. We asked for late checkout and prices were very unclear, they kept changing the price until the morning of checkout. We had dinner in the hotel on the 31st Dec and despite there were only 2 tables, not all food was available. Bad service kind of ruined our dinner. Overall property condition is very good

Sel de Mer was wonderful and the staff were amazing. It is a newer property located in a quiet and convenient area with multiple restaurants literally next door. We stayed in a 2 bedroom executive suite and it was very spacious and beautiful. We received very nice and thoughtful treats at check-in, including welcome drinks for everyone in our party. Every night, the staff would deliver treats and fresh fruits to the room. The spa was very nice and the atmosphere extremely relaxing and serene. Huge “thank you” to Thu and Dieu for the excellent massages and facial we received. They were kind, soothing, and worked wonders to help us feel relaxed! We’d also like to thank Kenny (Khang) and Thuy in Guest Services for their expert guidance on where to go and what to do. Kenny went above and beyond to ensure our family had an incredible experience. The staff cared for us as if we were family. I love the warm intimate feel of this boutique hotel. I was initially torn between staying at Sel de Mer vs the better known Intercontinental Resort, but ultimately, I am glad we stayed at Sel de Mer. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return. Again, huge thanks to the staff for their excellent care of our family. See you again in the not too distant future.

Well appointed room clean great view of the bay and fisher people in there little boats the street to the beach easy to cross ,food plentiful fresh at breakfast…BUT the staff are what makes this place a stand out helpful super polite with excellent English that old fashion customer service and respect thats lacking in most western hotels ,for example no hotel i been in ,till now !!!has the management open the door of the taxi thanks you for your stay with hands shake wishing safe travels and hope you return soon …surreal!!
