Pros: comfortable bed, beautiful balcony view, nice pool and outside patio area, and pleasant staff. Cons: old hotel, old furniture and fixtures, bad smell in lobby, hallways, and rooms. The rooms were dirty and not well kept. This hotel was a decent price, but I would rather pay a little extra to have a cleaner place to stay.

Their cold continental breakfast was only from 7:00-9:00, but we were NOT informed of the short hours. So when we went downstairs to eat at 9:07, there were locks on both fridges and the clerk initially said she wouldn't unlock them. After I said that was crazy and bull to my 3 kids, she did unlock them so we could grab a few items although she didn't see happy about it. I chose that place for the complimentary continental breakfast.

Pro: on the beach Con: seaweed piled in the stairwell. Pro: had a hottub Con: hottub was broken. Pro: breakfast provided Con: it was PopTarts and yogurt. The people giving 4-5 stars must have only ever stayed in rent-by-the-hour in downtown Detroit.

The beds were comfortable the rooms could use some slight updating the hot tub outside was not hot it was like a lukewarm the water in the room did not get very hot at all you could smell pot when you were outside on the balcony the staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful.

We booked for 1 night and loved it so much that we stayed an extra night! The beds are SO comfy!! And the view is amazing! Staff was super nice and we had a wonderful stay! Only "eh" part was that the hot tub definitely was like a tiny regular heated pool should be. Not hot, or really all that warm. But comfy. We will DEFINITELY be back asap!

First room (909) located between two elevators. One elevator shaft directly behind bed and other behind bathroom. Decided to try and stay in the room as we arrived around 9pm, but couldn’t sleep, complained, were given a different room. 2nd room was awful in a different way. Huge area of damage on ceiling. But the bath tub. Wish I could post a picture. Tub had been resurfaced at some point. Resurfacing now peeling off. Two bath mats in middle of tub (assuming to cover more paint/resurfacing peeling away). Water pressure so poor, my wife described it as a “sprinkle” shower. It was like someone standing on a ladder and pouring water over you out of a watering can. Room did have full fridge and small stove. Didn’t use it as we were fortunately just staying for 1 night. Looked in a drawer and saw 1 spoon, 3 forks and 2 butter knifes. Would really have been disappointed if I was planning on using the kitchen area during our stay. In summary - - worst experience at a hotel I’ve had in a very long time.

Front desk help was amazing. But the first room we were in was damp and had mold. Front desk was kind enough to move us to a different room. The “breakfast” is definitely needing improvement.

First off the staff was the only bright spot. The property stated has a heated pool and hot tub and neither worked and was filthy. Cold and did not function even after alerting the staff to the issue never fixed it being that was the exact reason I wanted to stay at that place. I will NEVER ever even look at that property ever again. Also the entire stay never had hot water in the room the entire time even after alerting staff to that issue as well. There was pretty much nobody staying at the property and never addressed any issue I had but TV was the only thing they fixed. If it was up to me I would fire them who is supposed to fix things there and not notifying guests of the issues. My stay was horrible. NEVER EVER GO AGAIN
