This hotel is as advertised. Hotel rooms are huge, with big balconies and bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. Views are outstanding. Didnt eat at the hotel but the food looked good. Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. Smores in the firepits at dusk were a nice touch. Weve been looking for a new hotel in Daytona since Ian and we finally found it. Very happy with our stay.

As long as you avoid their restaurant and horrible attempt at Starbucks, the Shores is a great place to stay. The only problem in the rooms was the way overly intense deodorizer used in the hallways. Beautiful ocean view abd patio.

I booked through Expedia and had to cancel before my arrival date due to medical reasons and was told I would receive a refund. I was charged for a stay that I never was able to go to and they refused my refund. Expedia blamed hotel and hotel blamed Expedia, either way I was out the money. Will not stay there nor will I use Expedia again.

The Shores spa is excellent. Lindsey, who gave me the therapeutic massage, was able to relieve my pain and offer helpful tips to deal with some of my muscular issues that were contributing to the pain. I could not recommend her highly enough. The pain was this nagging constant ache and she helped it go away. Cindy's pedicure was perfect. The restaurant downstairs had delicious food and a wide variety of options. I had plantains every day. They reminded me of the ones my abuela used to make. The only detractions were having to pay for the parking and only offering "all you can eat buffet" on Saturday morning. I ate at the Waffle House because I am not paying $25 when "all I can eat" is only two eggs, bacon or sausage and some potatoes.

Really nice and beautiful hotel. The front desk staff were great. The bar/restaurant staff not so great. Bartenders guilt trip you if you order a drink they have to make because apparently they prefer you order something they can easily pour; they’re not really good at hiding their facial expressions. Other than that, a pretty good stay overaall.

It was nice. We don’t drink, but they offered us complimentary champagne when we first got there. Also, a s’mores kit for the fire pit at night. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was vintage. Everything was great!

Staff was great and after found an issue with the initial room, they found us an alternative with no issue. I will say that the hotel would not be good for anyone sensitive to smells. There was very strong aromas throughout the property from the air freshener that they were using. Having to pay for parking when I am paying for the hotel is something that I also find hard to understand.

Nice resort directly on Daytona Beach Shores. Room was spacious, clean, and updated. Bathroom was large. We had a view of the ocean, which was nice. Some rooms have balconies, but we did not. In nice weather, this would be a good feature, but it was chilly, especially in the evenings and mornings, so not a drawback at this visit. Facility has a restaurant, a bar, shops, and a very nice outdoor space on the beachfront. There were firepits, seating areas, cornhole sets, and you could rent beach chairs and umbrellas. Be aware that you are charged a daily resort fee; it was around $33 a day at our visit. This seems a bit excessive for what you get, as does the parking fee of around $26 a day. There were a couple of minor issues with our room, small enough not to detract from ratings, but worth mentioning. The closet was located in the bathroom, behind the door. So if you needed a coat or anything you decided to hang up, you had to open the bathroom door, go in, then close the door, to get your item. Also, the bathroom had metal bars below the vanity top with glass shelves for towels. This was fine, but the plumbing under the sink is open and visible and not aesthetically pleasing. All in all a nice resort, especially at the price we got on Expedia. I'm not sure I would splurge at the regular prices, which don't include the resort fee nor the parking fee.
