I really enjoyed my short stay of 3 nights at The Ranch at Death Valley. I have always wanted to visit Death Valley and when I decided to do so and started looking around, The Ranch felt like the most convenient location. I fumble at these selections most of the times, so I was pleasantly surprised when I reached the Ranch. Ranch is quite conveniently located near the Furnace Creek Visitor Centre and is less than or around 30 mins away from most of the major attractions in the Death Valley including Badwater Basin, Mesquite Flats and Dunes, Zabriskie Point, Artist’s Palette, Harmony Borax Works and Dante’s View. Ranch is also conveniently located near Farabee’s Jeep Rental if you are into an off road adventure to the mystic Racetrack Playa. Ranch also has some good options for food. I loved dining at the Last Kind Words Saloon, though the buffet at The Ranch 1849 was not that appealing to me. The rooms were clean and had an excellent view of the Golf Course.

In 900 building which must be in the low rent district. Dirty laundry piled up outside door and fully visible. Very large roll off container outside entrance to building full of garbage that you had to walk past to access parking. By the time we access our room (which was fine) we were completely turned off. Would have been easy to solve by having someone pick up the laundry and moving the garbage container to another part of the lot.

Very good stay, 1 night only after visiting Death Valley POI’s. Plenty of parking. Room was clean and comfortable with fridge & coffee facility& ice machine at end of block, however corridor to room was messy had not been hoovered with lots of debris on the carpet. Pool was good and refreshing in the DV heat. Restaurant was very in keeping with the DV theme, food & service was very good. Gift shop & food store catered for all our needs. Highly recommended especially for location to POI’s.

I read the reviews and if I had read them before booking I would not have booked with this property. I just want to say that our stay was amazing from check in to check out. The check in was very professional, the room was great, the beds were comfortable, our dinner at The Saloon was very good and our waiter was very polite and on spot. The grounds were well kept and the pool fed with spring water was very refreshing. I would recommend this resort to anyone wanting a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The Ranch's location is great for sight seeing. The facility is also great. It has a pool, restaurants and a pricey general store. Two out of the three restaurants at the site are great. The buffet is expensive and the food is not great. Wouldnt recomment it. I would recommend packing a lot of food since food in the area is expensive. Other than that enjoy the valley.

We enjoyed eating at the golf course tavern. The Saloon on property has a very limited menu and aervice was questionable. I asked if they could make me a plain green salad and they said they'd hold the dressing and i could pick off the things i didn’t want. Im still not doing buffets since covid so the tavern at the golf course had the best options for us.

The air conditioner was not working in our room and the maintenance guy that came to check it basically told us it was because it was so hot outside. We called again to front desk and asked for a new room and they switched us to another room, which the air conditioner worked. We went over to eat dinner, only to find the restaurant closing. They sent us to the saloon, which we were okay with, but they were out of a lot of food. We understand the heat but other places at the resort had air condition and it worked very well. A restaurant running out of food is poor management.

Hotel, pool and staff very good. Pool food was amazing. Rooms clean apart from hall way, need a good hovering. 2 things let the hotel down. 1 no water in rooms and if arriving afer 9pm shop closed and bar and restaurant shut. 2 Staying at the end of the complex block 800 Lighting very bad walked down the path which was wet. Husbsnd slipped and hurt neck and back Otherwise great location.
