Arrived at the hotel reception after performing all the funeral rituals of my dad who had passed away. Had to catch a morning international flight back to the UK. Hotel was quite far from the New Delhi Intl airport which wasn’t very clear at the time of booking. Paid over INR 750 to the cab from the domestic airport. Despite booking the room for 3 people including our 15 year old son, the staff at the reception was hell bent on overcharging another INR 1700 plus GST for an extra cot for our child which was quite upsetting. No discount was offered on the breakfast as well. Quite rude staff at the reception. Overall a very pricey and quite an upsetting stay. Will never stay again at Vivanta.

We took the meal option included in our stay to be more convenient as the area didn’t seem like it was boasting with restaurants. The first night, we were tired and ordered room service. We later learned that it was separate from the included menu and had to pay separately, with the money already paid in advance pocketed by the hotel. They explained while we were checking out that they could not credit, even partially the amount already prepaid. We were in a hurry to get to the airport and didn’t take time to argue but this checking out left a bad taste in my mouth. Would not go there again. Ended of our honeymoon on a bad note. The hotel was beautiful otherwise.
