Heater Not On During Winter

Arrived at the property during a winter storm warning and the temperature outside was 0 degrees. Walked in to the room and the heater was completely shut off. The room took hours to get warm and it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. You would think they would keep some kind of heat on during negative temperatures. The room itself was dirty and the bathroom had a ton of patchwork that made it look like someone had thrown a party in there and knocked down all of the fixtures. The main door to the room was not secure and it had a patch missing which made it seem like someone had tried to break in before. Overall, this has been the worst Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at. Would not recommend to stay here during winter.

Everything was wonderful from the check in to check out. Breakfast was delicious with a good amount of selections for hot food or cold food. My bed was not as comfortable and it was a queen instead of a king.

Overall, fantastic hotel and would recommend. breakfast was really great for a free hotel breakfast - one of the best we’ve had. The room was spacious and the bed was the most comfy hotel bed in a long time with great sheets. The only issue I had was the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly before we arrived, and there was dried urine on the toilet seat and behind the lid. That’s gross - but really just a small oversight. Also, the location is convenient for highway/interstate travel - but it wasn’t close to restaurants/food for dinner.

Hotel stay would have been fine except the room we were given did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The sheets on the bed had definitely been used by the previous guest, as well as some of the towels in the bathroom. We requested a fresh change of sheets and when stripping the bed to change them, saw that the mattress was definitely heavily stained, as well as the pillows. The bathroom also had various spots of dirt (hair on the counter, toilet seat unclean). The TV also did not work, it just hung forever on boot. The room was properly stocked with the regular amenities (coffee, tea). Breakfast was okay, but it definitely appeared that they were short-staffed and only had one person working working breakfast the first two days we were there. AC worked great. Free coffee in the lobby was always well-stocked at all hours of the day.

Shenell provided excellent customer service upon check-in! She was friendly and helpful, making a great first impression for the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. I appreciate the breakfast that was provided. The parking is free and convenient.
