Quiet overnight stay

The perfect quiet night away for Hubby and myself. Whilst an unconventional 'up and down stairs' walk to our room, hotel really well maintained and fascinating to read up on the history of the priory. Room very nice, bed very comfortable and huge!!! Breakfast, which was included in our package, was excellent, with a lovely view. Spa was compact with everything you'd expect and again very clean.

not worth the price

We booked a junior suite wanting a little more luxary for our relaxing break. The room was large but the decor was very dated. I assume they think it was in keeping with the old building but I know a suite in the newer part of the building are a lot nicer. The price is the same which I don't think is fair as you are not given a choice. Our room was also above their main wedding disco room and both night there were weddings with loud music on till midnight. It was ridiculous that they gave us this room when we were not part of either wedding party. One other point, on check in they didn't mention breakfast was not included which we assumed was so were a little shocked with the charge but fair enough we didn't ask.
