This area is also popular for activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking, with Cochise Stronghold (the home of Apache chief Cochise) just a half hour away and the Chiricahua National Monument an hour away. For an authentic Wild West experience, visit historic Tombstone, which is only 45 minutes away. Additionally, you can visit the beautiful Amerind Museum, located just down the road or the Rex Allen Museum in historic Willcox 30 minutes away. Kartchner Caverns located near Benson is also 30 minutes away. There is a meditation hut for quiet reflection as well as an area for walks and quick exploring (plan to wear tall boots and long pants if exploring).
