The staff were very friendly but the hotel room was atrocious. The carpet was filthy and had burn marks and stains all over it. I certainly would not walk in my bare feet it was so bad. The bathroom was very poor with mould and stains everywhere. We were not given any towels and therefore I didn’t use the shower, although even if we had towels i still would not have used it. There was a nightclub and we could hear extra loud music right up till 3.00am. We only used it as a stopover for a few hours sleep as I certainly would not has lasted any longer. I have stayed in a better hostel than this and certainly would class it as a poor 1 star. I had booked it for my return journey as another stopover but had to cancel as I could not bear to think of another few hours staying here. The bed was 2 x singles put together but they were different heights. Furniture was very old and worn. Staff were nice and pleasant but hotel was just AWFUL.

Perfect for relaxing

Lovely place to stay having your own cooking equipment and microwave meant you didn't have to rely on room service if you didn't want to eat out. Good selection on menu but not the best cooked. Bed was a bit hard for me but overall room was comfortable. Lovely pool area and very helpful staff would stay here again

The Windows/ patio door need a good clean including the runners.

The food is very expensive for the quality on offer, one can eat out at almost half the price and better quality. Aed 60 for breakfast and Aed 75 for dinner is very very unreasonably expensive.

Friends United trip

The hotel was of an acceptable standard for what we required. The room was clean and tidy on the first day, however the standard of subseqent housekeeping was of a lower standard.The front staff were very busy and not as friendly as the catering staff. However, we were able to check in earlier after an overnight flight which was brilliant.

Great week long stay.

I stayed in Golden Sands 5 for 7 nights, it was great, friendly staff, good menu, pool was good as well. The room was big and clean, would stay there again.

Very good for shopping as all the Indian fashion cloths are near by.

Hotel is good for the location, staff are very helpful & friendly but the hotel now badly in need of upgrading, specially bath rooms they are well out of date. We had water leaking in our bathroom from ceiling at around midnight, we informed the staff and it was fixed but we had the inconvenience of not using the facility while the work was carried out and also due to work being done unable to hi to bed, overall late to bed for about an hour or so.

Dated

It's not a bad place, but no sunshine on the pool, so gets cold. Dated could do with modernisation. Location is ideal with a big supermarket right opposite and a mc d's in there, if your a family you tend to need things quite often.
