The hotel is in a great location allowing us to easily walk all around the Temple Bar area and over to Trinity College and taxi service was plentiful when we needed it. The front desk was prompt and courteous and the room service was perfect. We included breakfast with our room and found the service friendly and attentive with a variety of options for everyone in our group. One tip - bring a door stop if you would like the bathroom door open as it is on a hinge which forces it closed. It can be a little loud getting in and out when someone else may be sleeping.

Poor communication
I was not advised that this hotel was undergoing refurbishment at the time I booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend. I also received a missed phone call from the hotel at 8pm the night prior to the stay. I rang and was advised that a manager would ring back. They didn’t. I made contact again the next day, after 5 international telephone calls and the first day of the stay, to find out that they had overbooked the hotel rooms and wanted us to move to one of their sister hotels. Apparently overbooking rooms is common practice as people cancel although this has never happened to me with any other hotel. As they had gone on to find another person to move out of the hotel, my son ended up with his correct booking. I was however, very unimpressed with their pre-stay administration and lack of communication the night before. I spent a worried night thinking my son’s trip would be affected the next day. My son and his girlfriend did stay in the correct room, which was fine, but did report that there was building noise from about 8.30am each day. I would hesitate before booking this hotel again.

Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. We had a family room, with a double bed and sofabed. The sofabed wasn't particularly comfortable and the shower pressure was quite low. Also, the vending machine on our corridor for drinks etc didn't seem to be working. Breakfast was nice, as we're evening meals at the restaurant.

This was our second stay. The hotel is in a good city location. With that city location comes the noise of a city, but it is alright. Cant wait for the remodel that is coming, they said air conditioning will be in the rooms.

No A/C but overall a great stay
It should be said that this hotel does NOT have A/C. This was not an issue for our stay considering it was 55f out and raining but the hotel does provide a large plugin fan so don’t let this deter you. We have stayed at multiple hotels in Dublin and the Leonardo has the comfiest beds by far! The hotel has a great location, friendly staff, and decent food at the bar. Overall this was a 5 star stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Great location was able to walk to a lot of the attraction in Dublin such as the Guinness Storehouse and Dublin Zoo. Staff were very friendly and helpful could not fault their service. Room was clean however the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly and the main door had gaps all around it so I could hear everything in the hallway such as a vending machine that someone used at 3:45 in the morning! Also could hear construction work like drilling in rooms above during hours of the morning and day.
