Absolutely Brilliant
I had a really bad experience with another hotel so booked into here instead. The ladies on check in were amazing and so kind. When I told them what had happened to me they upgraded my room to a suite, I cant thank them enough. The room was amazing and so comfortable, all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant were great as was the food they served. I have a lot of work around Durham area and will be using this hotel from now one.

Lovely new corporate hotel . The place was spotlessly clean and the room was great and the bed comfortable . The only downsides were there were only two charging points for a large hotel but when we were able to use it , it was of a reasonable power for an overnight charge . The service in the bar wasn’t great . We had to wait a long time to be served and they weren’t very accommodation . The breakfast was excellent and the staff in the breakfast room were attentive . Great location .

Great location, shame about the spa area
The location is great, very central. Our room was lovely and so was the food at breakfast. The let down was the spa area. We only booked the hotel because it had a spa. The sauna was not working when we arrived and the engineer wasn't arriving until Thursday - we were checking out on Wednesday. The changing rooms were messy and the showers were very dark, one of the showers just dribbled water out and there were no shelves to put toiletries on. On our second day we were told there were no towels (it is stated on the literature that towels are provided) and they could only give us 2 small gym towels which weren't big enough to wrap around us. I asked if we could have a robe instead and was told they were only available to people who had booked spa breaks! Surely if there are no towels they could let us use the robes!

Weekend away
I recently spent a weekend away with my wife at the Radisson Blu in Durham and had an absolutely fantastic time. The hotel is beautifully located by the river, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed excellent food throughout our visit—both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a good variety of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a perfect getaway spot that we’d love to return to!

Lovely place to stay
We stayed in a room overlooking the river costing 180 pounds. Disappointed that there was no fridge or biscuits with the tea but the coffee machine was excellent. Room was spotless and bed was comfortable and loads of room for two. Would definitely stay again.
