Had a nice relaxing few days here. Hotel was busy with lots of families and had to book swimming and breakfast time slots which was fine and ensured it wasn't overcrowded.

Great facilities and cleanliness, though reason for poor rating was due to having room directly next door to a very loud, young family, with young children and the parents making a very loud noise going well into the night, with the children running around and screaming loudly. This also happened on my previous visit, with the young children banging on and trying to open the adjoining door between our rooms. I asked if I could change rooms but was told that wasn’t possible. After it happened previously, I was told it was a one off, as they try to keep solo travellers who are away on business, away from younger groups or families.

Parking availability was limited as they allow people to go on cruises to park there while they are away. Otherwise hotel itself was good - very clean establishment and rooms were a good size.

Check in was particularly helpful. Staff went above and beyond. Thank you Matthew. Bed firm but comfy, older building that had been impeccably renovated inside, breakfast good, coffee amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer to use the leisure facilities.

We stayed here with a very excited 2 year old. The lady at check in was realky welcoming, spoke to our son, and gave him an activity bag and a little card to exchange for a cookie and some milk, which at 2 is very exciting. The hotel had a kids play room, next to the restaurant and pool. This was perfect for a play. The room and hotel was spotless, the kids area although not dirty just needed wipe down . Breafast delicious and again staff there very welcoming. Swimmimh pool and facilities were great although the pool was freezing, just needed warmimg up a little .A great over night visit, would highly recommend with children.

We had a very comfortable room just above the pool so able to access easily and back to our room to change. The pool needs some sound boards as acoustics was bad. We had a very pleasant stay, many thanks.
