Pros and Cons
My room was pretty clean, good size just for me for 3 nights, and the bed was comfy, however, it was starting to look run down with fraying curtains and peeling wallpaper. Also, the shower was REALLY tiny. The elevator was out of order, it's supposedly being updated, but the gentleman at the front desk kindly helped carry my suitcase up and down the stairs. No elevator kind of sucked though after a long day of walking around, those 3 flights felt like 30 LOL. The location of this hotel was amazing, really close to many sites, places to eat, shopping and the bus stop is literally at the hotel's main entrance, which I used to go to the zoo and to the airport.

No wifi in room. Lift broken. Carpet in hallways coming up. Loud music in "lobby", didn't even have a door to the street. Room smelled like urine. Small dark room with even smaller darker hallway. All around gross hotel.

The property is located in an excellent area for sightseeing. We stayed there on two separate occasions. The room for the first stay was very large & spacious. Unfortunately the lift was totally out of order on the second day of our stay. When we returned a week later we stayed in the other building as the lift was working . The room was a family room but an incredibly small & tight space. Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights. I have to congratulate the entire team at front desk. So polite, helpful & very friendly. I would not hesitate to stay at Citystayz again.

Cheap, but for a reason - bring ear plugs
Rooms are very small and tatty furniture. Lift was out of service (multiple days not just temp issue) but staff didn't offer help with large rucksack despite room being on the 4th floor. No power socket near bed for phone to charge Only single and secondary glazing so I was woken by the trams and their bell from 5am

Had a lovely trip to Edinburgh. I tolerated our stay at the Cityroomz. The amenities are less than bare essentials. The main issue for us was the noise. Our room faced the street. The bus and trains pass and stop directly in front of the hotel. Accessibility is a major plus, however, the noise is horrendous . Never once was this mentioned in their advertisement. They did offer ear plugs. If you’re dependent on having access to WiFi it’s offered but we no luck connecting. Please not, their lift is not in service and appears to be a permanent issue. It would not be handicap accessible. We were able to leave our luggage at the check in desk as we arrived 4 hours prior to check in. When we checked in, our luggage was already in the room. We were able to store our luggage in a shared closet on our floor at check out while we went about the town before our flight home. If you’re looking for a location near or in the City Center, this was great. Give to ten minute walk to Dean Village, another 15 minute walk to the Royal mile. The staff were exceptional, very polite and professional.

Good location
It is a good location meat the castle and x the train to the airport. The room was comfortable. The only problem was the elevator was out on the day we left and we didn't have enough time to take advantage of their offer to help.

The location was really good. The access to the rooms was open to public which didn't feel safe, but everything else was great. The bathroom smelled a little bit bad, I belive because of what came up from the pipes, but nothing major. All in all we had a really good time and liked the hotel and price.
