I arrived to avery full car park however a car pulled out close to the entrance —- arriving a little early our room was not quite ready half an later we were in our room It was a very nicely presented room the concierge had arranged our luggage to be taken to the room. Great property set on very besutiful groubds. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the rooms were great. Breakfast was also excellent and offered a buffet style as well as custom order options (Such as omelettes, Vegan Sausage etc)

Great hotel, handy for Edinburgh airport.

The property itself is lovely. Our room had various marks on the walls and whilst was tidy wasnt clean. The pool and spa is open to the public and kids were allowed to use the sauna which made it somewhere od rather not be.

Relaxing retreat
Away from the city business, but just a bus ride from Edinburgh, this hotel is a nice retreat. Beautiful grounds, quiet and spacious rooms, and two restaurants on site. We were able to unwind before are long trip home!

Stay away from this hotel. Although the allure of sleeping in a historic building can be tempting, this is truly the hotels only selling feature. The staff were rude and condescending, with not a smile seen on any of them throughout our stay. The rooms are old and dated, with hair and garbage left in the bathrooms from the previous guests. Food and drinks at the hotel are twice the price of what they are in Edinburgh. The third night we were refused entry, as the rooms had been “overbooked” and we were picked among 8 others, where they had booked us alternate accommodation that was half the price of a nights stay at the Dalmahoy. Naturally they refused to refund the price of the room, let alone the difference. There’s a growing trend of sleazy hotels doing this, where they claim overbookings, put you into a hotel half the price, and pocket the rest. Stay at your own risk!
