Location -wonderful ! Cleanliness - disappointing!
The location of the property is beautiful. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness and free reign of large country dogs in/out of the home should have been explained to us prior to booking. The listing specifically states no pets allowed, which should include the owner's pets too. We asked the house manager for them to be put up after my daughter was scratched by one that jumped on her. Unfortunately, they were still left to roam. Also, it was unusual for the home manager's family to "hang out" in the common area of our rental. One night they even had a family dinner on the patio of our rental. While the house manager's family was congenial, we did not expect to share our vacation rental with them. Furthermore, the dryer was not working properly and clean towels were an issue. While our group still had an enjoyable time, some of the house issues were disappointing.
