ATV/Snowmobiles: Yes, You are able to leave the property on your 4-wheeler/ snowmobile and travel to trails, Trail UP331 is approx. 3.3 miles away. But there is no riding allowed on the lawn. This property does not come with a boat; however, it has a large empty back lot with a separate entrance, in addition to the front driveway and garage to park multiple boats for our fishing tournament friends. Also, being nestled between Escanaba and Gladstone has its fishing perks! Game room: New game room added in the basement in July 2022! There is a ping pong table, foosball table, air hockey, a dart board, and several kids games/toys! This is a great space for your family to enjoy themselves.
Grill: Propane with propane provided.
Handicap Accessible: 3-4 entry-way stairs, but most flooring without thresholds. Walkers would be acceptable; a wheelchair would be difficult.
Hunting: Not Onsite.
Internet: Free high-speed Wi-Fi for guests to use during their stay.
Linens: Yes, we provide you with basic sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are particular about the thread count of your sheets, let us know, and we will make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets.
Parks: Ludington Park is only 6 miles away and has a big, beautiful kids' playground. In addition, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, walking/biking areas, and live weekly band shows in the Summer months at 7:30 pm. Also, enjoy the beach and a place on-site where you can rent kayaks, jet ski's and paddle boards to have even more water fun! Ludington Park
Parking: There is PLENTY of parking. There is a 2.5 car garage for guests to park in as well as plenty of driveway space to park 2 truck/trailer combinations. In addition there's a large empty back lot with a separate entrance. So bring your snowmobiles, ATVs or boats and enjoy the security and safety of them right outside the front door/ back door.
Pets: Up to 3 dogs are welcome! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/PER PET for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the house. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to lay on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Privacy: Corner lot…a couple homes around, but extremely spacious. Not on top of each other.
Smart TV: There is a 65” Smart TV in the living room for you to enjoy with live streaming.

Winter Activities:
1. Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding
- Pine Mountain Resort: Located just outside of Escanaba, Pine Mountain Resort offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing.
Distance: About 10 miles or a 15-minute drive south of Escanaba.
2. Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
- Escanaba City Parks: Local parks like Lakeshore Park and Pine Grove Park offer winter trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Distance: Within 5 miles, approximately 10-15 minutes by car.
- Big Bay De Noc State Forest: Features a variety of winter trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Distance: About 25 miles or 30-35 minutes east of Escanaba.
3. Snowmobiling
- Delta County Snowmobile Trails: Escanaba is part of the extensive Upper Peninsula snowmobile trail network. Local trails can connect to the state system for long rides across the area.
