Looking forward vacation.
I have been in this hotel many times. I always go back there because it suits me and my needs perfectly. I will always go back to this hotel if I am in Duisburg for business. The staff knows me very well and they are calling me a long distant family member. I love the special Zum burger and their pizzas are absolutely fabulous.

It was ok
The floors were really dirty and had stains all over them. The rooms were a bit too small. Soap nor the shampoo dispensers worked. The heater seemed broken too.

close to local attracting and good price
The room that I received was a little, actually a lot, smaller than I thought it would be. With that being said it was a single room and was very cheap. Add to the fact that I was by myself and did not really need anything other than a clean room with a shower and a comfy bed. This hotel had all of those things along with a very good breakfast buffet. Add to the fact that it is within easy walking distance to the duisburg RLD. So if you are looking for a good place to stay while doing a little mongering then this is the hotel to head to.

Fantastic Service
We were stranded in Duisburg when the trains, buses, and taxis cancelled services because of the terrible storm. Zum Löwen was easy to book, very nice, and the service was fantastic. Although it got a little loud outside later in the evening--you have to keep windows open as there is no air conditioning--the overall stay was very nice and the staff at the hotel were very accommodating.

Reasonably close to town centre. No a/c, but nice rooms. Close to trafficated road, but good windows. Parking in nearby streets. Service is good, but breakfast, which seems nice, needs to be preordered. Returning customer.
