Cozy hotel with nice activities. Reindeer live on the property, snow tubing area, amazing breakfast with gluten free options. Staff are excellent and very accommodating.

Always Wonderful

We love staying here, it truly is a friendliest hotel ever, it's truly Alaskan in ambiance, wonderful collection of Alaskan art in the lobby and dining area. The shuttle from the airport is always Timely. The staff that greets you at the counter is wonderful. My only disappointment is that they have removed the steam room, and will replace be replacing it with red light therapy, which is going to cost an extra charge. Evidently the steam room had issues of leaking that they could not resolve, so the decision was to take it out, and replace it with a different type of therapy. I will miss being able to go into the stream room after time out in minus degrees, and being able to warm my core. It will remain to be seen if red light therapy can deliver the same such comfort. The breakfast here are better than most places who offer breakfast included, and they let their breakfast hours run till 10:00 a.m., knowing that many of their clients have been up all night chasing the Northern Lights. We highly recommend Pikes Waterfront to all of the folks we meet who are thinking of doing a trip to Fairbanks, whether it be summer or winter

I loved our stay at Pike Waterfront Lodge. The stuff is super friendly and professional. The ice creams, the board games around the hotel, the decoration, the nice stuff for breakfast service, the housekeeping. Everybody made us feel like home. They have a section for car rental in the hotel which is super convenient. The shuttle is available 24 hours. The souvenir store carry so many cute and cool souvenirs to take home at a great price. Didn’t have the chance to meet the reindeers and the weather wasn’t cold enough for the slides but in general is a great hotel! Highly recommended!!!

Okay experience

The property is very dated, but it is very convenient. It is right next to the airport, and they have some entertainment options on site. Pros: The complimentary breakfast is very convenient. It’s reminiscent of a high school cafeteria breakfast offering. I appreciated the optional wake up calls for the Northern Lights, but my goodness the pseudo-rotary phone in the room was LOUD. Cons: The floors and walls are thin. We had a very loud upstairs neighbor who could have been chucking a bowling ball around the room from all the sudden and loud noises coming from above. But the thing that bothered us most was the breakfast supervisor lady. She is incredibly rude to her employees. She barks orders at them like they’re her slaves, and it is very uncomfortable and appalling to observe. I hope the hotel has a talk with her to fix this. Those employees may be her subordinates and she might be really committed to making the breakfast bar a success, but there’s no reason why she couldn’t speak to those employees with a level of decency that should be the baseline for human-to-human communication.

The lodge was really nice. Interesting extras like a pool table, library, and a discovery center. Free breakfast buffet was fantastic and well staffed. The beds were uncomfortably firm for us but I liked the pillows. They have wake up calls for aurora viewing. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

A property which has so much to offer. This is a beautiful lodge filled with lots of artwork, next to a river, with its own restaurant and more. Staff was so excited to get everyone engaged in aurora viewing. Perfect location, good rooms and atmosphere too.

The stay was average and I am being polite. We landed in Alaska at 3 am and checkout was 10 am. The hotel did not allow a late checkout in the morning, even though we payed full price. When we tried to take showers, there was not hot water at all! We tried twice to take even just warm showers, but nothing but ice cold water.
