Chosen by us for its location in central Faro as well as previous experience, the hotel has been modernised but there are issues to be addressed. Check in is a hassle when it should be a welcoming experience. Rooms need freshening up and bathroom had black mould.

Liked the central location, you could walk everywhere. Liked the view from our balcony overlooking the marina. Enjoyed breakfast with the music. Breakfast hot food was luke warm. Sometimes our room was not cleaned until 4pm.

Since our visit two years ago, it has changed substantially. Not sure if for the better or worse. What used to be the main foyer has changed into two bar/restaurants and a small check-in area. Self check-in desks do not work if you have booked through a third party, but there are staff nearby to help. No concierge like there used to be (were always greeted personally “Hello Mr & Mrs …”. Breakfast which is included in your stay was ok, although the hot food was warm at best.

Perfectly positioned hotel. The staff are fantastic. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and they provided a complimentary bottle of champagne for the room. The breakfast is also terrific. Facilities are great.

Hotel located next to the Marina, the main shops bars and restaurants are a short walk away. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. Fabulous roof top swimming pool and bar. Second visit will definitely book again.

Perfect hotel for relaxing especially loving the roof top pool, views and roof bar. Over the road to little ally ways Portuguese restaurants, cafes and boutique shops. Hotel was clean and breakfast was excellent, staff very welcoming and helpful.

On the plus side, the hotel was in the perfect location with amazing views over the marina and Ria Formosa Natural Park. Our balcony room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent but the provision of live music, although well intentioned, was a bit too much first thing in the morning. There was construction work going on in the hotel reception but we knew about this in advance and it didn't really inconvenience us that much. A big negative was the lack of any air conditioning in our room. We were informed by reception staff that the warm and sunny weather (approx. 20degC) was unexpected and is never provided at this time of year (first week in March). This resulted in our room being too hot at night thus we had to leave the balcony door open to allow some airflow in the room. However, with the door open, this meant that we could hear the excessive noise from the revellers in the street below until 3am or 4am in the morning. Not only this, the relatively warm and humid weather meant that mosquitoes got into our room and, despite our best efforts, my wife and I were both covered in mosquito bites. Of course by the time we realised and bought insect repellent the damage had been done! This was a real shame as, otherwise, this is a very nice hotel in a great location.

The hotel is perfectly fine. Good location, ample car parking. Staff are excellent. Very helpful, knowledgeable. The actual room and hotel needs a good clean and tidy. Dirt marks in the toilet shower, old carpet/skirting board, an unpleasant smell in the corridor. Needs a good old clean. The hotel has a gym (v good facilities). Overall - it was ok. Ah - we left a cup with coffee on the first night and no one cleaned.
