A budget hotel does not have to be awful. The walls of the rooms were paper thin. Next door’s baby cried a lot at night & we heard it all. The bathroom was a good size but the shower was tiny. Breakfast was very poor quality . We skipped after day 1. The common parts were very shabby. Never again.

Nice place to stay, tucked in a side street out of the hustle and bustle but very convenient to walk to attractions. Plenty of dining options available and shopping strip just around the corner. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

I had a negative encounter with the manager when trying to address an issue. The management is rude and does not care at all about their customers. With all the hotel options in Florence, do yourself a favor and choose one that actually CARES about its guests.

Location is the key advantage of this property. But I was impressed with how clean and modern everything was in the hotel. The staff was very laid back and cordial. I particularly appreciated the gentleman working 3rd shift, he was very helpful to me throughout the week. The breakfast area was very nice and had a number of options. The A/C unit in my room was excellent with it being a very hot week and the bathroom was also very nice, larger than I expected. I do think the rooms could use a little something just to add some personality, maybe a framed photo of a vineyard in the region or a view from one of the bridges in town. Overall, i had a wonderful experience at the Aurum Firenze and will recommend it to other travelers.

Very loud area/room, definitely not sound and can hear absolutely everything outside of room! Room ok, room not clean thoroughly. WIFI TERRIBLE!! No service for phone in the room. Breakfast included but very basic.

The room was small, but very clean. The hotel is located only a 5 minutes walk from the central train station and 10 minutes (if you walk slowly) from the cathedral and town centre. The breakfast provided was lovely and staff was overall very helpful and friendly.

We had a triple room for three adults but this room is too small for that. It would probably be okay for a couple and a small child. There really wasn't much room for the suitcases and to move around. That being said, the location is close to the train station, bus depot, restaurants, markets and some of the central sights.

Never ever leave a review I usually turn a blind eye to the usual inconveniences and poor facilities, but this was too far, had a 3 night stay, when we arrived we couldn’t get into the hotel as the door was locked for a good 20 minutes before reception finally realised, once inside we weren’t given an apology or even spoken too, the two women that were working couldn’t be paid to smile or say hello, so rude, our toilet leaked everytime we would flush it, weird wet substance dripping down our door from the roof the whole time, couldn’t charge phone anywhere but the bathroom, “buffet” breakfast absolutely terrible, bread and some spreads and juice, rather go without, not to mention the suspicious 40 euro city tax that could for some reason only be paid in cash. Terrible place seriously ridiculous.

Very convenient location, easy to get around. The rooms are a little small but it’s a general thing in Florence. Clean hotel, perfect for a short stay. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower door. It had a weird closure system and the water would go everywhere.

Horrible Experience. The room was not that clean. The shower was only working at one side and I had to use a shower cap. The bathroom is very tiny. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I liked it was convenient for the town centre. I didn't like that all the power points in the room were blanked off so I found it difficult to charge my phone. I didn't like that the fridge provided was not working.

Great location. Safe. Close to station (4min), Duomo and evening. They had decent breakfast but one morning, there was a dead bird by the balcony table, next morning, coffee machine was out of order. Worst thing thing about the hotel is their service... not a single one that were welcoming/helping. Also. they were very cheap with their towels. We didn’t get our room cleaned for 3 night and when we asked for three towels on the 3rd day, they refused and told me to wait for the next morning. and I had to beg for it.

Very basic
We arrived to find the room stank of mould. I mentioned this to the front desk and was just told to open and window and they would send someone to inspect - no one ever came. There blinds on the window, which cannot be opened, but they do not stop all the sunlight so this woke me up both mornings of my stay. The shower is tiny, there is no space to move in there to wash. Also the doors/walls do not stop any sound. I could hear the cleaners working loudly each morning. Overall a very basic accommodation. I wanted to let the staff know about the shortfalls, but they were very unfriendly so I didn’t bother. The only positive is the location is great.
