The (minimal) staff are very nice. But it is such an inconvenient location - Uber to every store or restaurant - yet they don’t tell you there’s an amazing Beach Shuttle service which is free that is sponsored by Deerfield Beach. The dining room is small and very understaffed (and overpriced) and each day they were out of something essential. But to get beach chairs you either pay 15$ per chair per day or purchase the continental breakfast to get a chair (but they won’t tell you that up front). There is no set housekeeping service so we never had our room cleaned at all in a whole week. You have to pay for it to get it cleaned. Overall nice people and lovely beach (nice small pool but it’s in the shade) but bad location and staff not helpful or forthcoming on much.

Property was a bitt hard to find in the dark since there is no sign that says "The Hillsboro"- you have to look for a very tiny orange sign that has the address number on it and the driveway is almost hidden. Once there, though, the staff was great, the hotel was clean and looked freshly renovated, and the room was clean. My one suggestion would be too better weather-seal the rooms since the tile floors were slick with condensation from the humidity of the day.

Did not like having to use app for everything. Did not like that you had to pay the restaurant in the hotel to use beach chairs. Valet parking was convenient, with pleasant staff. Desk staff responsive to guest concerns.

I loved the private beach on this property, it was absolutely gorgeous. They have a restaurant in the hotel but it’s very pricey. They charged me 7 dollars for a bottle of water. The room was very clean and organized nicely. The only thing I would say is the staff is not very professional. But overall I would definitely stay here again.

This property is a mess. The water pressure in the showers is nonexistent. They don't have shower curtains or doors...they have a piece of glass that covers half of the opening...causing water to get all over the floor. Not to mention, you're constantly freezing because half the shower is wide open! They don't have any phones in the rooms to call staff for service. I needed an iron and ironing board and I was rerouted to the Massachusetts head quarters. I spent 20 minutes on hold with them...only to be told I would have to wait 12 hours for the iron and ironing board!!! I could go on and on...but you get the picture. Steer clear of this place...I should have paid attention to their 3.7 rating!!!

Photos are beautiful and professionally taken, I didn’t feel like that once in the property, shower doesn’t have a door and water got all over the bathroom floor during shower, my toddler slipped and fell twice, I had to use two bath towels on the floor in order to make it safer, room service isn’t available when requested, just when they say cleaning is available. The property was sandy and not very clean . The valley staff is polite, but you have to go through them for everything , even if you need to park for 10 minutes to get something in the room. That isn’t convenient, you see your car 10 feet from you,but have to wait until they are available to get it since they keep the key.
