The resort is fairly close to airport. Less than 20 minutes. Only one main restaurant on site. Had to drive to all off site restaurants. 2 nice pools & pavilion bar. Need to wake up early to reserve your chairs. Beach is very close, but if you want a chair, umbrella , etc. you are charged every day. $15/per chair, $32 umbrella. These are if you want to be close to the water. Otherwise chairs are free near hotel on beach. Restaurant food was average, nothing to write home about. Breakfast was basically buffet only. Menu was exactly the same with no other choices. The rooms are old looking and need updating. No light in shower or exhaust fan. Most of the staff was very friendly!

The property is beautiful. We loved all the amenities. Some may say the decor is "dated." I would say it is just more traditional. For the most part, we had very good service. Our room (one bedroom suite) was large with lots of space. The pools and beach are wonderful as are the pool bar and dining options. Highly recommend,

This is our favorite place to vacation as a family. We started coming here in 2019 and try to make it at least 2x a year. Looking forward to our next vacation at Lago Mar!

Hotel room doors open to the outside, which could be a security concern for some. Room was large, but decor and fixtures were dated. Great location though, and a nice pool and beach!

The staff at the front desk were so friendly and welcoming! The waiter in the dining room was not good. We had an expensive meal on Valentine’s Day and the waiter wasn’t friendly at all. He got our order wrong . This is my only complaint. I do think the food in the dining room could be much better!
