Nova Scotia Island getaway home: private, comfy, spectacular ocean views

Need precious peace and total privacy? One-level hilltop home on 10 wooded acres above the Bay of Fundy. Breathtaking views in three directions--incredible sunsets! Comfortably furnished; both bedrooms have queen-size beds; den w/futon; 1.5 baths. Wood fireplace for cool, foggy days. High-speed internet, movies (DVDs) but no TV. Retreat, read, write, hike, play music, recover, savor, sleep, relax...minimum stay 3 nights.

Family and pet-friendly.

The views, especially the sunsets, are sensational! There is a sitting area/deck out back and a picnic table. In season, you can see/hear whales!
Whale-watching and hiking are popular and oh-so rewarding.

IMPORTANT: The (free) car ferry from the mainland over to our island departs hourly, on the half hour. If you are in Digby and heading to the house, allow at least 45 minutes.

We also recommend you gas up or recharge your vehicle in Digby
AND
get groceries for your stay/you'll want to "cook in," as there are few restaurant options out on the islands (ask us for more info when you book).

We do have two good general stores on the island, one in Tiverton and one in Freeport, where you can get basic groceries.

Our "House Manual" left for you on the coffee table is full of more info and suggestions, and our local caretakers are only 1 km away (their phone numbers are taped to the fridge).
During your stay at this holiday home, you'll be close to Peter Island Lighthouse. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the holiday home.
