My husband and I stayed here for four nights in July. I loved the view from the front door, and although it was adjacent to a busy street it was very quiet at night.
The unit was in a great location to downtown, and while the kitchen had high end finishes and appliances, the rest of the unit was a bit ragged. I actually wondered if it was in the process of being renovated.
On the maintenance side there were cobwebs along the corners down the walls and the blinds were very dusty. The two living room windows were broken and would not open and we were to rely on opening them for cool air as the unit did not have air conditioning. It was very warm during our stay and we needed that option to cool the unit.
In the entry there was a huge chunk out of the flooring where the tile entry met the hardwood. Two wall hangings were laying on the floor and not hung on the wall. The walls had patches from previous damage and had not been repainted. Other marks on the walls indicated some work was to be done in the future.
There were seven remotes left for two televisions and we never did figure out which one worked to change the channels on the bedroom tv so we just didn’t use it.
We have only had one other experience with a VRBO listing where we felt as frustrated. Again, we wondered if the place was in the process of being updated, or perhaps the owner is not aware of the lack of upkeep to the unit.
