I was shocked by how quiet people are in the lounge (on 9th floor), even with eating something. It was inconvenient for travelers with food. Other than that, I totally recommend this place with the price.
Very nice for a quick, minimal capsule experience. If you're a light sleeper (as I am) it may be a bit noisy, but the staff provides earplugs at your request. Good water pressure from the showers, and staff readily available if you have any concerns.
It was my first time staying at a capsule hotel. It was more or less what I expected. The hotel is very clean and well-run, and it is reasonably priced. That said, if you are a light sleeper you might have a hard time sleeping as even small noise can be heard. If you are just there to sleep, I think it will work for you.
Nine-hour Hakata is a nice place to stay for a short period, everything is clean and tidy. The location is super convenient as it is close to Hakata station.
There is no staff to assist with check in, only a confusing electronic self check in system. You have to use a card to open every door (elevators, locker rooms, etc.) so you constantly have to carry it around, even to the shower. The vending machines don’t accept coins or cash, only pay via your phone. There is a separate elevator for hotel access, so you have to go up to the ninth floor then a separate elevator down to the capsule area. This gets annoying. The capsules get very hot and humid and there is no fan function inside like most capsule hotels have. No tv or entertainment of any kind in this hotel either. Overall this hotel is all aesthetic; no comfort.
