There was a cockroach in my room and the hotel is not doing anything to reconcile this. There was a nail on the floor that if I stepped on it, would have gone through my skin. Unacceptable conditions.

There was no cable so the TV didn't work. Folks were hanging all outside the door and on the balconies. My room was not cleaned well, but you get what you pay for. I learned to pay more the next time and stay somewhere else, especially traveling alone.

There was mildew or mold in the bathroom. When we woke up in the morning we had to kill 2 German cockroaches that had crawled into our clothes. The TV didn’t work right away when we got there. After some troubleshooting we discovered that the power cord in back of the TV was not fully seated.

Pleasantly surprised!
From the outside, you think “uh oh” and pray that your room doesn’t smell like decades-old cigarette smoke. But once you step into the lobby, it’s absolutely lovely!! The front desk folks were delightful and thoughtful. The room smelled clean and was decorated beautifully. Plenty of towels, soft pillows, firm mattress, and super cold AC. We won’t hesitate to stay here again next time we’re in town.

This is an unsafe area, there was heavy police presence the morning after our first stay. Several people had been arrested. There are no cameras on the exterior of the property. There was heavy foot traffic late at night up and down the buildings. Do not bring kids into this area. This place needs new management and security asap.

Panties on the stairs. Room smelled like marijuana. Tried to cancel the room, but lobby was closed. My wife stayed in my son’s apartment, and I drove home to Sarasota at midnight. Tried to get a refund but told it was through a third party so not available.

Firstly no tv so we right away were given option to cancel without penalty. Next hoodlums lurking all around. It was right off the main drag. Just not worth me feeling unsafe despite the low price. Paid double elsewhere to feel safe and comfortable.

The hotel was pretty dirty and the breakfast was very limited because the hotel was completely booked. However, the staff was very helpful and made the most of what they could offer

I reserved 2 rooms. Only one was ready at check in but the other person wasn’t there yet so not a big deal. When the other person checked in the room smelled and had mildew. The place was sold out but others hadn’t checked in. We were not given another room because “we accepted the room”. We were given a refund but it took jumping through hoops. The parking lot was torn up and only one building was easily accessible.

Not as clean as similar properties. Extremely limited breakfast options. Construction work was blocking many parking spaces. The property lost cable TV connection the day of our arrival. We were warned about it before check-in. We said we didn't mind it. After a night and seeing the conditions of the property, we decided to find somewhere else for the rest of our stay but staff was not willing to let us cancel the rest of the stay. Weird because we traveled with another family under the exact same conditions and they didn't give the other family any trouble with the change.

Room smelled like mold. The breakfast had limited choices, like only grape jelly, waffle irons not on. Checkin guy was nice, but tvs weren’t working and our room only had one towel. Bed was comfortable.
