If you’d like to take a trip back to the easy traveling days of Motels, this is the place. I give it 4 stars because for their line of business it is very nice! Very friendly. Nostalgic. PLEASE….look at the pictures, they are accurate. Do not compare this to or expect a name brand monster. I love both and for my $, and my travel at this time, this was lovely.

I think I’ll find other accommodations next time…
The old owners are gone and new people own the property. The charm and loving feel is gone too. It’s loud now because they don’t skip rooms when they book people. So you hear everything in the next room. The loudest I’ve ever stayed in. The free wood in the back is gone. I used to love to come stay here but now I think I’ll find somewhere else. It’s now just like another motel 6. Which sucks because this place used to be cool. The black makeup towels are now bleached so they look horrible. No pride is taken and all the welcoming feeling that was once there is now gone. Sad.

Nice little motel right outside Galena
The location is great --right off the road, outside town, and walking distance to a distillery where we had lovely cocktails. The price was very fair. The room was clean. It is adequate for an older building, could use some new beds.

A mediocre stay.
This property has new owners since the last time I stayed. They are just not as friendly as the previous owner. There was a minor problem when the ice machine wasn't working. They also no longer offer fruit in the lobby. The biggest problem was when the night clerk was going to give another guest the key to our room. I was lucky to be there asking about ice when it happened. They did correct it. They are going to have to up their game if they want to continue to attract guests on something other than just price.

Back shot friendly
Carpet was dirty, black feet after taking shower. Bed served it's purpose. The 4 pillows was a great cushion for the headboard so she didn't get a concussion. The breakfast was amazing. I'd definitely stay here again

The motel is in a main highway and is very noisy with trucks at night. I went to the vending machine to purchase a chocolate bar, when I opened the package the candy bar was white. I went to the office to let the manager know that the package was old and to try and get my money back but he said he didn't understand. The hair dryer didn't work as well and the office never opened on time to get the complimentary coffee in the morning. The price was the most cost effective but next time I think I will pay a little more.

If you’re not a princess and just want a clean, affordable, very basic place to stay this place is it. Very close to downtown Galena; room was clean although a bit dated - beds and pillows were very nice! We’d stay here again if looking for the same type of accommodations.
