Galveston Girls Trip
There were 5 of us staying at the property to celebrate 3 of us turning 70 this year. The house was wonderful with stunning views of the bay. The house was nicely and tastefully decorated and the kitchen was fantastic, with 2 dishwashers, an ice maker, extra freeze drawers, double ovens, etc. Our requirement for the house we chose was that it had a bedroom for each person with an on-suite bathroom. The house checked all the boxes. We all agreed we would stay at this property again. There are a few issues I bring up that need to be addressed. Number one on the list are the locks on the doors. We fought with trying to lock them. The front door on the 2nd level was one of the most challenging and we agreed not to use the door once we locked it. Same with the middle back door leading to the back porch. We found one side door we could get locked so we used it. The door where the lock box is was a challenge as well. There are a few flies in the kitchen that were a nuisance. We didn't use the pool, but I can see why some commented on no pool chairs. Shouldn't expect people to haul their own chairs there. Also the infinity pool didn't flow over the edge at all. Looks like it has some repairs needed on it. The pool itself seems fine. As the listing stated, the spa doesn't heat up. I think it would be reasonable to expect a spa to heat. We would have used it if it did. None of these issues were deal killers. We loved the house!

Great house for a family or friend group
This house worked perfectly for our purpose and would definitely rent it again. The kitchen is well equipped and it offers great spaces to gather together and/or spend time alone per your desire. The pool was super nice and was used every day - however there are no poolside lounge chairs. One of the king bed mattresses needs to be replaced, but all other beds were fine. Extra light bulbs and batteries should be readily available as we needed both and there were none. Also - the TV remote downstairs in the pool area needs to be replaced. And since there is an elevator/lift - it would be nice to offer this for use as an option. You could have one of your staff meet guests at check-in time and allow use of the elevator/lift for luggage, groceries, etc., then come back at check-out for the same. It's a real pain to haul all that stuff up/down the stairs and I would pay extra for use of the lift even if only for check-in/out purposes. The 'change filter' light came on the refrigerator the day before we left - so this needs to be changed as well. The laundry room is also outstanding and provides extra storage for personal items. A/C worked great and the ceiling fans did too. Wonderful location, awesome house and as stated before - would definitely rent it again.

Family Time
We were very happy with this beautiful home! We had a great time with family and even though we couldn't enjoy it outside due to the weather being cold and miserable, we made it fun indoors! We had everything there to have fun and enjoy.. the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and didn't need to bring anything with us as far as utensils small appliances, etc.. they had it all there for us.. amazingly wonderful place! We will stay there again for sure! Happy memories and fun times.. Thank you!

The home was exactly as described. It was very clean and recently remodeled. The 6 bedrooms, each with an en suite bath fit our group perfectly. The open kitchen / living area were very spacious and beautiful. Highly recommend!

Impressive facility
Great place to stay. It was great having a bedroom and ensuite for each couple. We try to pick a different location each year for our Christmas trip but we may go back to Pirates Cove. The facility was perfect and plenty to do in Galveston.

We picked This property based on the location, size and ability to house 9 adults. We all commented it is the nicest home we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was just amazing. We had plenty of rooms and beds. Our favorite part of all though was the outside deck over the water. The view was spetacular.

Great stay but keep in mind…
We really enjoyed our time here. The house is large enough that the family can space out without noise being an issue. The kitchen is well stocked with quality equipment however there aren’t any basic spices available. The fishing dock is a bit far so plan accordingly! Lastly I wish the pool had shade and the bottom floor had access to a fridge. Overall, great stay. Would highly recommend with proper planning

Great House!
This is a Huge House! Great location. The pool was beautiful and refreshing! The wrap around balcony had amazing views! The kitchen was extra nice and big- with tons of amenities ( just needs a Keurig coffee maker) Just be prepared to walk ALOT of Stairs!

Wonderful experience

Has potential but needs some fixes and improvements
We booked this house for an annual family vacation with high hopes it would appear as it did in the pictures, but unfortunately felt like it needed a little TLC when we got there. Here's my Pros & Cons of this property: Pros: Two clothes dryers for faster laundry in a large house. Two fridges, wine fridge, icemaker in wet bar, and mini fridge upstairs Two dishwashers in the kitchen. Can park up to four cars under the house for covered parking. Great water pressure. Quiet neighborhood with a small market, seafood shop, liquor store, and pizza place near by. Easy to add a Firestick or Switch to the main living room TV. Cons: There is not enough silverware, plastic cups and other glasses for a house that size and the number of people it can accommodate. Be aware there is no cabinet with basics like salt & pepper, but they do supply dish detergent and liquid soap for the kitchen No kureg like pictured The stove vent is broken and the burners are very difficult to light meaning it floods with gas in the kitchen and no vent to get it out. Seems dangerous. Also dangerous was an interior door handle that would come off and couldn't seem to lock the doors. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN. Pool lounge chairs were all broken so you could not enjoy them unless you wanted to laydown. Ant problem by the pool and it's not heated as an FYI. Little things need attention like sharpening the knives and replacing lightbulbs. One of the bedrooms wouldn't cool no matter what thermostat we adjusted and felt about 5 degrees warmer in that room if not more during the heat of the day. That room also had a very loud ceiling fan. One of the dining room chairs was falling apart. Upstairs pocket door to a bathroom toilet couldn't be pulled out. The dock in the pictures is simply that - no ability to tie up boats or other watercraft. Ok for fishing. Internet didn't cover the whole house and was non-existent in some rooms. There were not enough bath towels in the rooms. Like two per room. Thankfully we were able to take some from the other bathrooms. Unlike other beach houses we've stayed at in Galveston they have no pool or beach towels so bring your own. This was disappointing especially since there were so few towels to begin with. The bedroom with the two twin bed has a slatted door and it's not solid so sound can easily travel into this room. Over all, it appears to be a pretty house and there's aspects of the kitchen that are great. But it falls short of expectations.

The house was nice and clean on the inside. Outside was dirty with garbage.
The property is great. The trash situation is terrible. They manager needs to remove the trash from the previous renter before another arrives.
