Dirty!
Very dirty, stains on walls (ever right next to the bed!) and carpet, layer of dust under bed and furniture, showed a lack of care and attentions to detail. everything was cheap - crappy bedding and towels, old furniture, no plugins near bed. Staff was not friendly, I asked for a couple rolls of toilet paper because we stayed three nights and the staff rudely said no, you can only have one roll as if I was going to steal their crappy TP. The only good thing about the place was the pretty lake in the back but this didn’t make up for the gross feeling I had when I was in the room.

Background: I stay in 100 motels per year, each for one night. The stay was fine except for a highly unusual 10AM checkout. OK, no problem, except they didn't mention it and it was not on the back of the door. It was in a page of fine print I signed without reading. OK. They were surly after they pounded on my door, killing the enjoyment of the property and that morning. That they gave me 30 minutes is irrelevant. Management should train their people in customer service.

Very clean and super nice front desk staff. The room is fine though I am totally disappointed that we did not get the room with a view. The back side of the property is where you want to be. We could not change it since we went through Expedia and did not buy the insurance part. The back part is beautiful the lake is right there. Steep to get down to the water but there is a huge deck attached to the restaurant where you can sit and enjoy. It needs a fair amount of remodeling and the grounds could be fixed up nicely but again it is a nice enough place. The restaurant is not open on Sunday or Monday. Theee is some noise from the nearby highway. But the lake and woods were totally peaceful.

Staff was so rude, we wont be back. I have been staying here when I visit family in the area for over a decade. We will find somewhere that you at least here Thank you or god forbid have the person handing your keys would smile.

It’s cheap. Clean. Quiet. Not a lot in the area for food or entertainment. Couple gas stations. There is an Attached restaurant but closed a lot earlier than when we got there. Particular room was a little rough around the edges. But we just needed a quick place to sleep. We’ve stayed here before and other rooms were in better shape. I would definitely stay here again.

The food at the restaurant was really good after a long drive. The hotel was clean and well appropriated. The beds, however, were incredibly uncomfortable and squeaked every time you moved. The lack of electrical outlets near the bed was inconvenient but for the affordability, it served it's purpose for one night. I loved that it didnt have carpet! I am particularly sensitive to chemical smells. I would suggest using a non-scented laundry detergent for linens and towels. Cute patio and grounds with lake surrounding gives it charm.
