Great location but what a nightmare if you are driving to get any close with a car to drop off or pick up luggage. ULEZ is a ridiculous SNP council strategy that does nothing for business.

Hotel could use a thorough cleaning. When we were there the air conditioning wasn't working and we weren't informed at check in. Weren't able to open windows because we were in the 1st floor and it was very warm in the room overnight. Bed was comfortable and water pressure was good. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Great location close to Queen St station

We loved the location of the CG. It made exploring Glasgow easy and fun! We loved the morning breakfast in the top floor dining room. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the dinner. Options were limited and so so in taste. Having only one of two elevators running was a source of frustration at times. But our main issue was the temperature in our room. It was a sauna that made it unbearable and we could not find a way to adjust it and the windows would not open. No need for that kind of room temperature!!! Sleeping in it was difficult and other guests complained to us of the same issue so it wasn’t just our room.

I booked this property under the presumption that it was a luxury hotel, on par with a four star property. I quickly realised upon arrival that it was not. The furniture is VERY dated and in need up upgrading. I had a very lovely view of a Ladbrokes and accompanying brick wall from my window. There was not hot water, which I alweythe front desk to. The lad arrived, confirmed as much, and stated that they would attempt a fix from the adjacent area where the pipes were located. I called down the next morning (approximately 7 am) and informed the desk agent that the room was still without hot water and could there be another room to shower in, as I was due to checkout that day. He stated that he would check and phone back. Unable to wait, I took a cold shower. The agent did call back and asked who I had spoken with the previous night. I informed him that I had already taken a cold shower and would be down to discuss. I was only in Glasgow for a short while, so I went to have breakfast and returned to the hotel. I encountered an older woman (presumably a supervisor) behind the desk and informed her of the situation. She stated that she had been informed and then insisted that if I had been without hot water, everyone would have been without water. Presumably, I had traveled 4,000 miles to falsely claim that I had no hot water because I had nothing else on for this trip. The location is excellent and the bed is decent. The rooms are below standard, as is the service.
