A real letdown

The food was appalling sadly. Dinner - the staff didn’t know the menu, when ordering steak, we weren’t asked on how we wanted it cooked. Steak was very average and very pricey for what it was. Honey roasted carrots weren’t roasted. Quality of the food was appalling for the price. Staff were really young and also didn’t know what cheeses were on offer on the cheeseboard. A very expensive meal where it was well below standard you could even cook at home. Breakfast - long queue to get in, shocking standard of food. Duty manager couldn’t seem to care less. Bacon sandwich would have been nicer from a truck stop. No butter, no colour to the bacon. Spa - over priced, small and easily overcrowded

Wonderful Stay

We had a two day spa stay and it was fantastic. The hotel is full of character, clean and very friendly. Staff were superb and Hattie the cat is a wonderful feature of the hotel.

Great stay

We had a lovely stay at this hotel just before Christmas. The spa area was lovely with excellent facilities and a great temperature in the pool. The main areas of the hotel were excellent. The room was comfortable but a little dated and could perhaps do with a little TLC. We ate the evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was excellent with a good choice of menu. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
