This is totally me of the best experiences I’ve had in Brazil - and I’ve visited Brazil for over 20 years. And, to my pleasant surprise, I was given a complimentary upgrade to an amazing room. Wow - thank you. And their breakfast is phenomenal, especially since I really love pamonha (sweet or salty).

Stayed here many times, really great hotel. Service is great, rooms are always clean, good breakfast, nothing to complain about. Close to two parks which are great for going for a run.

This is an old hotel and it can clearly do with some upgrades. But that does not take away from the charm of this lovely facility. The corridors are ample and very spacious eliminating the sense of claustrophobia in various newer hotel constructions. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was most helpful, bringing in an iron board and a tea maker at 11 pm in the night. Good breakfast. Great location in quiet and safe neighborhood.

Spacious rooms and friendly staff!
This hotel was absolutely amazing! I will start with the staff: they were friendly, attentive to my needs, and gave me great directions/suggestions for things to do in the area. The bartender was nice, and the front desk lent me an iron to iron my clothes. The rooms were really spacious and I was given a choice of floor. I loved the view from my room and even from the space right outside the elevator. The shower was spacious too and quite incredible. Highly recommend this hotel for all. A few nitpicky areas of improvement would be to include ironing board + iron in all rooms, have more towels for guests, and more TV channels. The area the hotel is in is great, but lacks a lot of restaurants. Also be aware the hotel does not have a pool.

All around great experience
Great food from room service, comfortable rooms, modern gym with excellent sauna, close to banks, restaurants, drugstores and supermarkets. Add to that truly Exceptional service from very Friendly staff, including: Mauricio great manager, Dalila in restaurant, Pedro, Marianna and Edinalde at bar, Laudienne, Raquel Cristina at front desk. About $10 ride from airport and good choice for business or romance. Wifi could be faster But that holds true everywhere, in Brasil. Feels like a family at Mercure. Will return for sure!

It was all great, lots of pros: price, location, gym, good restaurant, nice overall look. Only con: the MiniFridge was noisy and difficult to disconnect.
