Great location very close to the beach. Right next door to Macca's and a convenience store on the ground floor. Room was great and very clean. Would recommend. Suitable for a stay with friends or a family.

The property being very new was in immaculate condition. Comfortable, and well appointed apartment. Walkable distance to Burleigh Heads and only 1 block from The Esplanade. Roadworks out front for new tram service a little inconvenient with pedestrian crossing difficult. Communication with the facility wasnt the best experience. I opted to pay on arrival however started getting invoices with payment demands the week before travel. I called the apartment and had to speak with management and provide screenshot proof of booking. Didnt feel great.

Loved our stay at Sandbar. Rooms were super quiet - never heard anyone else beside or above us. Modern decor, beautiful views and great location - 15 walk to Burleigh shops/cafes/restaurants but also lovely cafes and bars just across the road. Close to beach and good parking too. Pool wasn’t heated which was a bit of a shame but not a dealbreaker.

Very disappointed in this hotel, I felt deceived from their advertising and really ruined our little holiday. We booked the signature room with all the photos showing sea or beautiful city views from the living areas and we were given one of the lesser back rooms with a view of the MacDonalds roof and car park with only glimpses of the sea from the main bedroom. For the same price, we could have stayed at one of the top premium hotels with breakfast and full sea view. I did enquire as to why we were given room with twin beds instead of a queen as we had booked signature and they kindly made the beds into a queen but the main point of my enquiry was as to why we were charged for a signature room but given the cheapest one. If I had booked the lesser room of the website which looked more like the room we were given it would have been more than $50 cheaper. Whilst the room was extremely clean and the customer service nice, I let my family down booking this room with such a terrible outlook. Definitely don’t be fooled from the photography of the signature room when deciding, you get a MacDonalds roof view :(

Our room was outstanding, and the customer service was lovely. They arranged parking for our 2nd car free of charge which was a relief. My only small complaint was that I chose to pay for the room at the property, rather than when I booked it on Hotels.com. Hotels.com indicated that it would be the same price either way. But when I got to the property to pay, they added a 1.5% 'surcharge' for paying with credit card, but offered no other way to pay.

Unfortunately the room had a faulty smoke alarm that continually beeped all night which made it impossible to sleep. When we reported it in the morning we were told to send a complaint to the manager by email which we have done twice now with no reply. Disappointing as other that that the room was very good. Room was very clean but common areas were quite dirty as they were still finishing off building works.
