We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the dining experience was great. Many other dining options and shopping all within a stone’s throw.
We picked our location first and narrowed the choice of hotel to the Grant Arms and one other. We chose the GAH because it was an old, established hotel with a great reputation and ticked all our boxes. The staff were brilliant, great views & food and a well stocked bar.
We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Grant Arms. The Staff are amazing and we received a warm welcome with our dog. The room was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the bar and the menu was exceptional The food was delicious and the bar staff very helpful and made. A big fuss of Mack our dog. We will be returning.
Hotel was nice and in a great location. Room was basic but fair for the price. The walls are very thin though and we heard EVERYTHING! From the drunken revellers streaming down the high st at midnight, to the loud 1am lovemaking of the couple in the next room returning from a night out, to the early morning coachload of guests getting collected outside at about 6am, it was like they were in the room with us!
The bed was ok, not the best but not the worst. Bathroom was nice enough but was the rainfall type only, rather than a choice, which is a bit of a compromise in a small space.
All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
The property was well maintained and very clean the staff are excellent and the food is amazing would stay here again

The hotel was comfortable. Facilities are old. Bedding and towels were clean and of good quality.
It was quiet. Breakfast basic. Staff were kind and worked hard. Overall, it was acceptable considering the remote location.
Beautiful old building, simple elegant and comfortable. Restaurant staff are especially kind and helpful. Tea time in the lobby is lovely. Bathroom is massive with an old tub for a proper soak after long walks in the area. Beautiful!
Booked this for an overnight stay and a touch of luxury.

We loved our large, very comfortable room.
i marked it down on the basis that the shower was not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel - very small shower head with very little power.
We didn't eat in the hotel due to prior arrangements, but the restaurant looks very elegant.
The lift (elevator) is a glimpse into the past.
