The general manager, Wilma, is ..... I booked a 2 night stay. Due to a car accident, I could not check in the first night. After dealing with the accident and getting a rental car, I arrived the second night only to find out that the hotel wouldn't check me in (because I didn't check in the first night -- even though I booked and paid for 2 nights). The front desk lady said to re-book the second night through Expedia (the original booking platform) and then request a refund for one night.... and that it wouldn't be a problem. I did that (so now I've paid for 3 nights). Well, I called Expedia and Expedia called Super 8 Wyndham in New Stanton requesting a refund. Guess what? Wilma would not agree to refund. I was willing to take the loss on the first night. But literally paying twice for the second night is thievery. I'll be contacting the Attorney General, consumer protection division.
