Water lodge Reade Wikel (with a bath) is a luxury holiday home at Pean-buiten. It’s wonderfully private and you can see the water of the Wijde Ee through the houses at the water’s edge. Reade Wikel means kestrel in Frisian.
You get to experience Friesland at its best in this lodge. Close to open water but away from the hustle and bustle. The wide windows provide a generous view of the Peanster lake. Water Lodge Reade Wikel has the most luxurious interior as it has a bath. On a chilly evening, you can light the wood burner for extra cosiness. The lodge is suited for one or two couples or friends looking for peace and quiet.
Bath
The house is fully furnished and has all the standard features. The living area has a slightly raised floor so that, from the settee, you can look over the dike to the water. The round dining table has been placed between the kitchen and the living area, and additional seating has been created in the kitchen area next to the window, so there’s always a lovely place to sit.
The Reade Wikel is in the middle of Pean-buiten, on practically the most beautiful spot. You can see the exact location on the map in the slideshow above. The Reade Wikel has a large terrace with a unique view of the Wijde Ee and the borders on the Pean-buiten pond.
There are 2 bedrooms at the back of the house, both with a double bed. In one room, the beds are set out as two singles as standard, but this is of course easy to change.
There is a large bathroom with a bath, shower, sink unit and toilet. There is also a second toilet – particularly pleasant when there are more than two people in the lodge.
