Hotel Delphin was exactly what I was hoping for. It's an affordable beachfront hotel within a friendly multi-lingual staff (English, Spanish, Portuguese), clean and attractive facilities, quiet rooms, and a short walk from several conference venues and places to eat. It's much more affordable than nearby resorts of similar quality, and Delphine's ground-floor restaurant with a view of the beach is, in my opinion, far superior to those of other nearby hotels. Breakfast was included with the cost of our room, and it was an absolute feast complete with an array of local fresh baked goods, fruit, savory items, and tasty coffee. Staff was available at all hours, and our room felt comfortable, safe, and well-cleaned at all times. There were even ballrooms available on-premises for smaller meetings, should one want to organize here. The hotel was more than satisfactory. The only negative is that while we were there, there were 3 muggings of conference-goers that occurred several blocks away from Delphine. This appears to be a pattern throughout Guaruja, however, so it's a good idea to walk in groups at night. When doing so, I never felt unsafe. Wifi was okay in the room, but intermittently available. The lobby wifi was strong and reliable, with plenty of seating, however.
