Out of all the places I’ve stayed when visiting my daughter at JMU, this was the best. Clean, spacious room, close to campus, and great buffet breakfast!

My stay was good. The room was clean, the staff very helpful, the laundry facilities were in good working order the location was close to JMU for my daughter's graduation. But I took off 2 stars for the expense. Not including early check in and late departure the room was approximately $475/night! Total cost for a two night stay was just under $1000. Not happy with the price for 2 star hotel.

No USB ports, but otherwise great

My only (minor) complaint is that there were no USB ports. I was ok because I brought my own with me, but if someone was counting on USB ports in the room to charge their devices, they would have been disappointed. With everything that runs on USB these days, I’m surprised at this omission, especially in a fairly new building.

We arrived late at night to the hotel, and the staff that checked us in were very helpful and kind. The rooms were really clean, the beds were comfortable, and even though our room was by the elevators, it was quiet throughout the night. What would have made our stay great was if the coffee served the next morning was good. Unfortunately the coffee was extremely weak with little flavor so that first cup had to be found elsewhere( a little detail to some but to a coffee lover- a game changer:) All in all, the hotel was a nice place to stay and also a quick drive to JMU which is why we had come into town in the first place.

Generally poor cleanliness. Outside areas full of garbage and cigarette butts. Breakfast completely unedible. Specifically the hot items were overcooked. Tables were not clean so finding a place to enjoy the inedible food was difficult. Room was broken. Huge cracks in bathroom. Door frame and door was not plum which provided a nice qtr inch gap whereby people could litterly look right into your room if they wanted to. AC unit did not work.
