We were visiting JMU and the hotel couldn’t have been more convenient for that. Right on campus - easy parking and easy walk to town. Beds and linens weren’t terribly comfortable and no amenities like shampoo, etc. Good value.

Appreciate every employee I spoke to during my stay. I don't understand the shower with the open half door that spills moisture onto the floor. I wasn't given enough toilet paper for a two-night stay. The phone didn't work. Couldn't access the laundry area. I cannot stress enough that the food and the people were great, but help was not available when I needed it.

Hotel Madison is the place to stay at JMU

Hotel Madison is a beautiful hotel. If you are going to see JMU, this is the place to stay-it’s practically connected! Parking is super convenient and everyone is very nice. This hotel checks all the boxes.

This property is absolutely beautiful. They had live music on Friday and Saturday night. The bar and common area are really upscale and beautiful. The room we chose is a king bed suite. Very nice and spacious. Would recommend 10/10. Very clean as well.

Staff was great. Location - perfect. Morning coffee in the cafe - great. The bathroom did have water marks on the walls which wasn't the best, but the rest of the room was very clean and nice.

Room definitely was not very clean. Hair and dirt on bathroom floor. Dust/hair all over lamps. You can hear the peoples next door TV and unfortunately for us the people above us were stomping around from 130am-4am. Overall, for the price, would not stay again. Hilton has better options.
