Holidays in the monument combines heritage preservation and tourism. Historically valuable Bauzeugen be taken, gently renovated and rented as apartments. The model allows a double win: The monuments received a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is realized by the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Homeland Security.
Parking: The parking lot is located directly at the house and is not covered. The access to the house is guaranteed.
Public transport: The town of Heiligkreuz is well served by public transport (postbus line Entlebuch-Hasle-Heiligkreuz, line 233, with 8 daily connections.
Number of persons 4-6: There is a cot (up to 2 years) available. The house sleeps six guests (plus baby). There is a double room and a quadruple room available. From the large living-dining room kitchen is a terrace with beautiful views of the meadows and forests of Umbegung. In the large bedroom can be made if necessary from a sofa a very comfortable double bed. The bathroom with shower and toilet offers modern comfort. The floors are made of wood which is why we recommend good slippers.
Garden: There is a terrace and a patio.
WLAN: Is available.
Open: The house can be rented all year round and for short breaks (at least 3 nights).
Pets: Pets are allowed.

OLD PÄCHTERHAUS - Typical Lucerne farmhouse
History & Information The Old Tenant House is located in the beautiful hamlet of Heiligkreuz. The tenant house was 1843-1845 in traditional block construction technology. With two full floors and two floors in the far favorite hip roof, it represents a respectable volume. The house is directly opposite the Sanctuary. The hamlet Heiligkreuz is under nationlaem townscape protection. The loosely assembled module with the old tenant house, the church, the inn, the hospice and the laundry is typical, as the two tree-way stations pilgrimage routes that lead upward from Hasle and Schüpfheim to Holy Cross for Lucerne Sanctuaries. Heiligkreuz is a perfect starting point to explore the many different natural beauties and family adventure worlds of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch. In this apartment 4 people can spend summer and winter holidays in the monument.
Renovation: In close collaboration with the cantonal monument preservation the building fabric of the old tenant house was assessed. The aim was to keep the constructive engagement very moderate. The building envelope with facades, roof and windows has undergone complete refurbishment. The technical installations such as heating, electrical and sanitary facilities had to be replaced. The interior is constructed as much existing material was protected and preserved. No interventions carried out - on the attached barn were - except the roof renovation. For both apartments a garden seat was created.
IMPORTANT SUPPLEMENT: The Old Pächterhaus is a monument that has been restored with great regard for the existing substance. The tenant is aware of and meets the object with care. Furthermore, although technologically equipped contemporary, do not comply with certain functional details now common standards and pose a possible safety hazard. These circumstances are known to the tenant. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal disclaim all liability.
