The staff was amazing! They helped surprise our granddaughter for her 13 th birthday! She had no idea we were making the trip from Texas to Kansas to surprise her. They helped hide us and filmed the surprise for us.

Very clean nice room, staff accommodating, bed comfortable, pool and hot tub need some freshening up. Breakfast was very good! I don’t drink beer but it’s offered in the evening with cookies and popcorn. This is our 2nd stay here traveling to and from Colorado.

Great motel, room air conditioner was ice cold and outdoor temps were near 100. The parking lot around the hotel had garbage here and there. Free beer from a keg, delicious chocolate chip cookies. And they egg omelette in the morning post delicious biscuits and gravy. No complaints.

Just what's needed
It's too bad a guy has to go all the way to Russell, Kansas to enjoy the Fossil Creek Hotel, but life's like that. Still, it's always a good idea to go there. It's not a typical brand name hotel; it's just nice, quiet, comfortable and friendly....exactly what's needed at the end of a long, straight, hot stretch of Interstate 70!
